Yet another challenge post

Ah, yes. Creativity has taken another blow, although not a mortal one from one of Pixoto's best known members. Notice I said member, not photographer as she is not known for her skill with a camera. This lady is known on Pixoto for two things: 1) Her uncreative challenges that attract thousands of entries and clog up the voting system 2) Her breasts.

Her blow to creativity is the passive aggressive move of entering about 100 images in a challenge I created called "Pictures That Tell A Story". These pictures are primarily her patented "Look At Me, I'm On My Bed and I Have Breasts" shots but there are also plenty of other shots whose story is (as best I can tell) "I have a dog". There is also a the story called "I have a cat" and "I went to a parade and took lots of pictures".

And how does this make me feel? Well, it makes me feel like I'm at work. I work in a middle school.

Does anyone have a hypothesis as to why the Pixoto owners let the challenge situation devolve?

Hello Lou, we are in precess of reprogramming challenge page as already announced.

If user submitted images that do not fit your challenge theme you can disqualify them.

I hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply. I didn't post this with an expectation of any additional solution from Pixoto. I understand that you are working on something. I think I can deal with managing the challenge without disqualifying any of her images that meet the rules. She hasn't violated any Pixoto policy.

Their standard answer when it was starting to be queried was that they don't moderate these challenges. Gradually others have become involved, more are concerned, and we still have got no where.

I'll wait to see what the new implementations look like.

I've already been looking around for other sites that take photography seriously and already have found some. The fun thing with Pixoto is/was the dueling system. Only, it has been hi-jacked by a couple of moderators. Wouldn't it be fun to just vote for daily pics again and only vote for challenges that you entered yourself? It shouldn't be hard to implement. It's basically the same code that prevents you from voting for your own image. It could also prevent you from voting in a challenge that you didn't enter.
