"Whoa our other voters do not agree with your choice" I got a similar message when trying to vote between two pictures. Then it would not allow me to vote? Why is my vote being blocked because my opinion is different from other voters? That hardly seem like a fair practice.

I for one am horribly pissed off that I have been suspended. I so enjoyed voting and submitting images and always took voting very, very seriously. Do I vote quickly, probably yes but I'm still voting for the image that I think is best. Now I have been suspended twice...first time for just an hour and the second time for like a day. REALLY!!!

I have been very happy up till this point on this site and was honestly considering becoming a PRO so I didn't have to keep boosting my images and unpausing. Would certainly make it so I didn't have to vote so much to keep points. Plus, I've been entering challenges galore. Well now I will have to rethink everything I do here if I decide it's even worth my time. All the awards were really nice and made me feel good but obviously, Pixoto has an agenda for what pictures it thinks are best. Wasn't it suppose to be MY VOTE & MY OPINION?

I see some people say it obvious!!! Well on some of my votes that I got that stupid message, I saw something that maybe pixoto didn't. No matter how good or how bad a picture is, it doesn't always win or for the later, always lose. Sometimes what the viewer sees is only obvious to them.

I did write to the email: imageduel@pixoto.com but did not hear a thing back as of yet. I have written 3 times!!!!!

I hope I receive some response on this and also regarding my account and my voting. I did vote a whole bunch in the past few days b/c for a change, I didn't have my 2 granddaughters and also, I entered a bunch of challenges, which I also thoroughly enjoy. Right now, all my Pixoto joy is diminished except for the fact that I finally had a picture this morning join the 700 club. My best news of the day.

Also, about this community. I had a lot of trouble finally getting to be able to even post on here. It kept giving me a message Welcome Back, we've sent you a code. I would look in my email and see nothing...turns out...it wasn't from Pixoto and was going into my spam. I finally found it this morning and had loads and loads of codes where I had kept trying. Glad I'm back at least on here.

I'll watch for some response.

I've experienced similar problems. It takes forever for them to send you a code and then it doesn't work, etc. I haven't been able to vote for a week so the only way I can submit is by commenting and although I do that occasionally anyway, it's way more cumbersome earning points that way and I'm certainly too much of a starving artist to be able to afford to BUY points!

Why am I blocked from voting? I don't think I did anything wrong except vote fairly. Why does this keep happening? First an hour and now a day? Doesn't make sense.

Hello Kathy, something in your voting pattern has triggered on of our automated flags. There a variety of reasons this could happen. Usually it is because a member was voting too quickly or carelessly. But sometimes we get a false positive and a member is flagged inappropriately. If this is the case here you have my apologies. Can you please post link to your account so I can forward information that your account was blocked from voting?

It is also the fault of Pixoto. On mobile deivces the pictures move on the last moment you are clicking. So you are clicking on the picture you don ́t want select.

Watch out also for clicking up the boost buttons. Pixoto is taken the points away from yo,u but you will not receive any boost. The same with resumit. Pixoto is taken points from you, but the photo is not resubmitted.

Its the fault of Pixoto?. Or is it your fault for voting on a mobile device in the first place. We are here to decide the "Best" photo.....but you see fit to do it from a mobile device?

This site was created for internet....its not an app for your phone.

May I suggest they keep up with time? This is 2014, m8! The paying masses use i-pads and phones this year!

Deems this site completly pointless if people are voting using their phones. They would be as well closing their eyes & pressing the vote key with their nose.

You can collect a bunch of voting points and hit the boost button. Then click the image you are boosting and then click back on your browser and click the boost button again. This can be done for ever and will give you as many boost as you have the points to.. Just let the pages finish loading before clicking the booster (button in the gallery). If you reload the page, the boost button will disappear.
Exploit, eh?

Bye.

We're actually going to allow you to add as many boosts as you want in the near future.

And what is stopping you right now? Besides, the voting restriction crap you added in to this is also very amateur for a pay site. Made me among others delete everything and quit.

voting criterion is individual , I do not think the algorithm you created may take into account the alternative aesthetic sense that they have the voting on this site.este totally different when you submit artwork to a group at a meeting and argue or explain what the author felt compared to displaying an image on each pass right through them and say - yes or no. Why say this ? because many of the users of your program are amateurs and have no technical knowledge about photography, their vote is given only personal aesthetic sense . I have seen over time that many have complained that their images have lost the duel against bad images , but individuals unfairly blocking will result in giving to participate , you will lose customers .
in my opinion the only way you can solve this problem is to create more categories and subcategories that are relevant to a duel and blocking or penalty be for the one who put the wrong picture . You can see clear whether this was intentional or not a message the author was required to reclassify the image category / subcategory correct .
However, if you decided that your locking system is good and you want to develop , we need to educate the public how to vote when it is blocked

I also don't agree that my voting should be blocked if I disagree with what Pixoto thinks is the better image. What happened to freedom of choice, I could see this being something for people that don't pay a fee to post to this page but totally think it's wrong, once my year is up I will no longer pay to keep my my account nor will I post or recommend this site to anyone that I deal with. Why not just tell us what you really want your voting audience to select.... Very disappointed with the site... :(

I agree with a lot of what has been said on here regarding voting. I, too, will choose the old woman over the young, trampy looking thing with wayyyy too much makeup or an Indian headress on, or skip the two flowers both shot in a studio with a spray bottle close by. And I tend to vote quickly because I almost always vote with my gut instinct. Been around long enough to know what I like and what I don't like and yes, art is VERY subjective and as human beings, we tend to lean toward warm fuzzies as opposed to spiders and snakes. An example that comes to mind is a photo of greyhound racing. I abhor the sport but the image was unimpeachable, however, it had a very low score and one must ask why?
