Why so many landscape photos in Nature Up Close?

I reread the description for Nature Up Close saying "Don’t put landscapes or flowers here! If it’s not a close up chances are it belongs in landscapes.". And still I find so many landscapes. Or am I missing something? LOL!

I don;t think you're missing anything. I'm still baffled by the shots of the Grand Canyon that appear to be taken from a helicopter and show up in "nature up close".

Well, I'm more baffled that the Pixoto team is not doing anything about it. Just one look at the leaderboard, the landscapes stick out like a sore thumb. Well, I'm rooting for that lowly fungi on a rotting log win over the shot of the sweeping expansive Grand Canyon. Ha! Ha!

If you do a little web sleuthing, it would appear that Pixoto is/was run basically from someone's (albeit expensive) home ........ bit like a hobby ;-)

Might be wrong, but Google images pulls up a lovely house if you search Pixoto's address!

Just saying........
