Is there anyone who likes the current method of selecting the "Best Photographers of the Year"?

(The current method takes into consideration only a photographer's top ten images in any category.)

Precisely we are encouraged to do well in the League, directory leader boards whichever name they chose to use but then at the end of the year these points are scrapped and all of a sudden anyone who has had 10 good images in a 365 day period can be crowned "Best in the Year" why ? they had 10 good images ?

In some cases it will be accurate and rightly so but not all, last year there was a member in somewhere in the 70s or there about !!

They are the Best Images of the Year ! The best photographers are shown on the leader board, thats what its been there for all year !!!

It would be nice to get some feed back from the top tier on this but i suspect it will be just the same as last year as nothing has been done each previous year its been discussed up to now.

Any Chance of feedback on this issue, last year there was some thoughts but not enough time ?

We have bought it up every year and this is the first chance to discuss it early enough, or is it the intention to just go ahead as before ?

Nothing happen here if we are just changing ideas. i think the team is waiting what will be the final decision of this thread. Ralph has been suggesting along time that photographers of the year should be base on image score which i already supported it. I supported his appeal 'cuz he is fighting for the effort of any photographer. so make up your mind. and For Ralph just trust Jasenka i think she will do her part as long as she can see togs are united with this thread.

If this was the first time this subject had been discussed i would probably agree Charlie, the trouble is this subject comes up every year usually nearer to Christmas "too late to do anything" is the usual reason to ignore it i don't mean to sound rude with that comment but it is getting to a point where i don't think the upper tier don't understand that this is an insult to the way we are treated by ignoring the leader board and awarding best of year to a random 10 images ! i think by now they just don't care ! and the complete lack of interest in the thread is only adding to that conclusion ?

Personally by now i don't care what they do award or not award just change the bloody name to best photographs would be enough after all that's exactly what they are ! we all know who is top of the leader board its as plane as the nose on your face and Pixoto provide the proof of that !

No not giving up i will continue now !
I will bring it up again at the end of the year when they go ahead and do there own thing and i will continue next year when they do it again !
I am just making the point that no feedback would normally point to no interest which is the same as every time it has been "discussed"
When i say discussed i mean we discuss they ignore ?
