Whats going on with Pixoto ?

I am sure i am not the only one thinking whats going on with Pixoto.

Seems like endless problems, payments, websites not working. Site crashing all the time.
The amount of people who used to use this site has drop by a lot. This time last year the number of photos were so much higher now, for example a popular category babies and children, there would be 100's of weekly entries, now there hardly an each day.
And it seems we get the the same response for all our issues , I will pass it on and let the rest of the team know.. but really nothing is being done.

Also the Yearly awards, its now Feb and nothing ?
Be interesting to get a reply with a full explanation on what going on.
For a website that I used daily and loved it. and i know many others loved it, but now have sadly left.

Has Pixoto come to its End..

Hi Kelly, Pixoto is currently in a maintenance mode and is not undergoing active development. We recognize that there have been some issues recently and are working with our developer to get those resolved. We hope to have the error issues fixed over the next week or two.

Thanks Jasenka. Finally an admission that current management team does not give a $@#& about this site anymore ;-) Too bad for all of us. They should sell it, so that someone else can do something good to it.

I have had all of those same thoughts and I am sure lots of others have, too. It is so refreshing to get a real answer even though it's sad to hear. I also wish they would sell it. I'm wondering if this means that they aren't bothering with the best of year awards? And if so, when could we expect that?

Hi all, I say let's give them the benefit of the doubt and let them resolve their issues. Most computers, servers and software break down and sometimes take time to fix.

If you didn't enjoy this site, you would have left a long time ago.

I am pleased Jasenka responded by explaining what is happening with their system.

I share your frustration in not having the yearly awards out yet but at least we can understand the problem and we should give them a chance to fix the hardware or software.

Again the system is not totally down and you can still get to submit, vote and get daily and weekly and even monthly awards. It may be slower to get on but you still can.

We should be encouraging Pixoto to continue the site and make it better for all.

My two cents worth.

Jasenka, maintenance mode sounds so sad. If there are no efforts to improve than a slow death is imminent. Isn't that the way things work in business? Pixoto was such an innovative site and still offers things that other sites don't. I hate to see it declining. I haven't made a lot of purchases, but appreciate that so many cool products are available. I bet most members don't even realize all of the different things they can have their images printed on. I think there is a lot of money that can be made from this site if more were done to promote the products.

I agree with SweetNana55, but first and foremost the technical issues have to be resolved. The server problems started in the beginning of January so now the site has been working totally randomly for almost two months. That's a long time. Of course we encourage Pixoto to continue but it seems that the problems are serious. Overall I believe that if there's a will there's a way. Let's all hope Pixoto has a real will to solve the problems. Otherwise it's unfortunately only downhill from here. Pixoto has already lost many of its loyal contributors and this trend will continue if the site keeps on malfunctioning.
