Pixoto can add a watermark automatically to all the pictures submitted to Pixoto saying- Submitted to Pixoto . I am not sure how this will work but may be helpful. This way when images are saved from Google and other sites it will be at least not usable and our pictures will be safe even without our watermark. Our name watermark poses a problem with dueling.

yes, do it but not a huge watermark all over the picture. Otherwise it will be confusing for the duels. I was always hoping, Pixoto protects all the submitted pictures, is it not the case?

As with many other things, that were not considered priory to going public, Pixoto crew, forgot to put that important feature - protecting images - too.

While they require from us NOT TO SIGN our images with watermarks, Pixoto offers the identification of image to author (submitter) as soon as image is submitted. You can find it looking at "Recent" tab, and see what images were submited, and by whom, just a seconds ago...

So, I hope that they will listen to Dipali S. and - do that watermarking ASAP.

In the meantime, don't forget to fill metadata for your images that you plan to submit to Pixoto. It's very useful to fill all that stuff (author, copyright, name, label, date, time, camera, etc etc). Actually, you only have to key in your name as author and label the images as copyrighted. It remains in EXIF and XMP. And... you can sync that metadata to all your images, so don't have to re-enter it for every image in a batch.

My advice is that if you are concerned about this then do not submit your pictures to public sites.
