Type of camera's.......

I would like to have different categories for different types of camera's. There are people that are professional and have super great cameras and then there are those who have a regular type and that aren't professional. I am tired of competing with the professional people. What are your views on this matter?......

Yeah agree its difficult to compete with professional photographers even i just have digital bridge camera only but i think we already have a novice category for this.

I truly believe that photography needs creative eye than a expensive camera

yeah we have a novice category but some people get bumped out of it way too soon, I broke the ceiling with my very first image, before I could even get a rising star lol. and have been buried ever since. sink or swim with the big boys and the cheats. and I am barely treading water. the quality of the camera does matter, I can never compete in the flowers category or anywhere a super macro bug is, or where macro water drops steal every award. that is the basis of my frustration.

The camera is the least important part of photography. The skill is not in the equipment but how it is used.

The important thing about photography is to never stop learning :-) There is always something new to discover, some technique to try to master.

As for non-DSLR cameras, the results in this recent challenge show what can be done without one :-)
