Time to stop the Comments

Time to stop the Comments or figure a way we can block it. I get dozens of one word comments and it getting to be a big pain in the butt. I don't mind real criticism or phrase it always helpful and a great why to improve your photograph but this is mostly people looking for 3 points. I been a member for a long time and never got this many one word comments and 99% are coming from over seas. Maybe stopping the 3 points will stop all this....Thanks

Agree. Or institute a minimum number of charters. Things like "nice" and "good" hardly constitute anything meaningful.

Minimum number of characters would be nice. I do make a point to reply each one of them so that their emails too get spammed by my "Thanks!" :)

critique for me is better. There are many professional photographers here to help us improve our image through giving their critique. Just remove the 3 credits.

We all can learn from each other if some one tells you that you could have tried a different shutter speed or to try another aperture or maybe a lower or higher ISO you may learn something but saying its "nice" or "good shot" or "awesome" is not teaching you anything and is filling our email in box with spam.

Jason says he's working on it so lets give him a chance to fix it.

Leave the comments, people can say what they want, but take away the three points. The pointless comments will then stop.
This is something that has been asked for and suggested many times before this.

and the 3 credits is affecting the duels now. It's getting slow.

Yes I have noticed it now takes days to get 100 duels where before this it happened in less then 24 hours

I like the comment feature, however I also am tired of seeing "Nice". I would say just remove the 3 credit incentive.
I do like being able to tell people I like their work, or letting them know why it was I didnt vote for their image.

All we really want is the 3 points taken away. The genuine comments will remain and those one worders to get points will stop. And people will then have to vote which will help the duels.
Its a very simple solution.

I have gone hunting through my photos to delete all those "nice" comments...which made me discover some folks had commented on my photos twice in a row (I found that on a few photos).

bit of a classic, he commented on his own shot, which is probably in the wrong category

I think we should get 3 credits for saying thanks to these "Nice" guys. Just kidding...
