I like the idea, but a bit worried if that would influence voting? Does it mean I would see the image of somebody i am following and that I will immediately know it belongs to him or her? When i start image duel it may influence my decision a bit. Still not sure, maybe not :-). Anyway very interesting option!

That is the purpose on an idea like this. Anyone who supports this, is clearly condoning conspiracy against the uploaders they wouldn't want here. Sorry Jason, but this is a terrible idea.

If we are following a person, it means we like their photography. So there is no problem if we are showed their photos. Instead it might be of some help to us.

Favoritism shouldn't help anybody. You shouldn't vote on someone, you should vote for the images duelling, the one you like.

No, not a good idea at all. In fact, I think all voting to be completely fair must be done blind: no authorship visible anywhere on the site during the dueling time.

you're right Marianna, I'm with you. I don't want to know who is the photograph, Even, for some, I recognize the style but it's for sure better to let it unknown. We have to rate a picture, not a friend

I'm with Marianna and Michelle.

I strongly believe that to keep voting fair you need to make all images appear both in leaderboards and profiles only AFTER each weekly contest ends.

Needless to say that showing authors and leaderboards during contests DO INFLUENCE people, no matter what you believe. It's game theory telling that, not me.

I think all feeds and leaderboards should be "feeded" only after awards have been assigned. This is if we want to keep the contest fair.

I also believe that to improve fairness and quality control the site should need a Jury to decide the final ranking of the top X images for each category.

You are so right. There are raw photographer here, who discriminate photoshop manipulation so much, that they don't even know that we can use stock photography to create manipulation. I mean, there is a whole conspiracy against photo manipulation, and a strong favoritism among the raw photographers. They even go violent, if they see a beautiful photo manipulation win over a raw photography, this is insane. You made a point, Luca, I hope Jason discard this unhappy idea, moreover, I really hope this idea didn't come from him.

Maybe I understand this wrong but I don't think the whole think is a discrimination about photoshop or manipulating photos. Most photographers do it (professionals or amateurs) and now we have great tools to do it. I think it's more against stock photos. Using stock photos is okay, they're made for it. The problem is maybe more "using stock photos for pixoto" as this is not allowed by the rules. And I hope Elisabete will enjoy her trip to Italy and come down a little bit. Our entire life is a stress, don't look for more stress. Elisabete is right in many things, just respect the rules and use your pics for pixoto. Elisabete has talent, that's a fact and I'm sure she has a lot of own very nice pictures
Elisabete, I wish you a nice trip and a great photo shooting in Italy

Michelle, stop being an HYPOCRATE and admit you have photo-stock manipulated pictures in your Pixoto's page. Photoshopers use photo-stock and public-domain pictures, because that is what we do, and I gonna repeat again. WE TAKE THE RAW CAMERA PICTURES, AND EDIT THEM, TO MAKE THEM LOOK BETTER, SO WE CAN TRANSFORM THEM INTO PRESENTBLE IMAGES, TO POST IN MAGAZINES, COMMERCIALS, ETC. If would depend on the raw camera only, wouldn't be good enough to be in magazines, for instance, and sell products. Deal with that, and the purists, or radical raw camera photographers, start learning ADOBE PHOTOSHOP, so you can enhance your pictures, and compete with the PHOTOSHOP ARTISTS, without feeling intimidate against us, and start attacking with diffamation, like Carlos Castro. THE STOCK-PICTURES and PUBLIC-DOMAIN pictures are out there to be used, and it's is NOTHING WRONG IN MAKE RAW PHOTOGRAPHY MORE BEAUTIFUL THAN THEY REALLY ARE. Stop being so ridiculous, you are just about the same level of Carlos Castro, who will have to apoligize to all the PHOTOSHOP EXPERTS here, or I'll have to SUE him, for the wrong statements he made public. WATCH OUT FOR THIS PHOTOGRAPHER, he will do anything, including deffame others, to increase his chances to win any award from here, and collect the little prize money Pixoto's offer. Stop being so ridiculous Michelle, admit you have used stock-photos, and you should be proud of that, because it's LEGAL, and therefore, nothing wrong with that. GROW UP, and show up, and stop mentioning my name to try to get votes. A lot people here are smarter than you, Carlos, and Clark, they will vote for the BEST PICTURES, and if you are among the best ones, you should laid back and watch your pictures get a good rank. That's is how it was suppose to be, if the administration start having more consideration and respect for all the Pixoto's members. If is hard to compete with PHOTOSHOPERS, make your pictures look better, or start learning ADOBE PHOTOSHOP, to avoid getting behind us, and increase your chances to win something here. It should not be only about the money, but the fairly competition, and the best pictures should be on the top of the first page, not the ones (without mention any names), who are every week on top of the first page, posting ugly pictures, and compete with the REAL TALENTED ARTISTS here. There are amazing photographers who use photoshop, and they are truly talented, no one should limite us on how to make our picture more beautiful than just raw pictures, it's wrong to spread out false accusations and rummors, the whole thing here is deadly wrong. Michelle, STOP USING MY NAME TO GET PROMOTED, AND STOP PROMOTING THIS RIDICULOUS FALSE ACCUSATIONS MADE BY CARLOS CASTRO, WHO DOESN'T HAVE THE CALIBER OF THE TRUE ARTISTS HERE. Get a life, you are just as jealous are him and Jason. Take the whole Photoshop category down, so he can help his favorite raw photographers on top, and I'm reffering to the NON-TALENTED ONES, not the amazing photographers and photoshopers who gets to the top FAIRLY.

The one who attacks everybody is you, Elisabete. You don't even understood the problem of this topic. Who is against photoshop manipulated photos???
they said STOCK PHOTOS!!!!!! And nobody is against Stock photos, they are just not allowed here, soooooo easy to understand.. Now I have two questions: which of my pics are stock photos???? I never used stock photos. For what?? I have a camera and if I need one I take one. So now, the second thing is I want YOU (and not somebody who didn't pretend I use them) to tell me which are the stockphotos and proove it. Apparently you have a lot of time.... I never ATTACKED you and I remain polite not posting rough words like HYPOCRATE or saying about Carlos Castro that he,DOESN'T HAVE THE CALIBER OF A TRUE ARTIST HERE. Everybody has to respect you. Start to respect the others. Even the Beginners. Everybody has the right of a chance. And what is about these ugly pictures which belong to the garbage??? Is this your form of respect?
And what does mean : STOP USING MY NAME TO GET PROMOTED ???? HOW COULD i USE YOUR NAME TO GET PROMOTED??? Can you please explain?? This makes no sense.
Try to chill down and don't spread too many rought words (what does think your attorney about this??)

I don't know what is my level but I know that maybe it's YOU who make wrong statements public. I'm still waiting for your proofs. You are a person with a very high level (maybe a genius) so you must be able to proove what you say. I wish you good luck searching which of my pics are stock photos (lol)

PHOTOSHOP ARTISTS, and the RAW PHOTOGRAPHERS who use stock-photos occasionally or often, should be respected by their art. It can get very complex to get a ugly raw picture to transform into art, RESPECT our work. Raw pictures itself, wouldn't sell products anywhere else, they are good to be on photography albums. Only a very small percent of RAW CAMERA PHOTOS, would sell a good product, it's fact, and IT'S TRUTH. Get over it and start learning ADOBE PHOTOSHOP, instead of being here and fight against the most beautiful pictures here, it's low, ridiculous, and insane.

How do same UGLY PICTURES get on the top of the first page, and compete with the best pictures, STOP THE FAVORITISM HERE, and let the beautiful artwork compete FAIRLY, without have to loose for the UNTALENTED same people, who win in several categories all the time, when their pictures should be even be competing here, because they are not good enough. I'll not mention any names, but not everyone is stuped, we know what is presentble and what is not, and where they belong, TO THE GARBAGE, not on the first page.

The worse IRONY in here, is that the purpose of this website, is to keep all of our pictures, and be a STOCK-PHOTO site in future, so Pixoto can sell the pictures everyone post, and make tones of money. That was the policy I read when I became member, they changed because I brought this subject up, everyone should know that.

About you Jason, start learning Photoshop, so you can stop being so jealous against the most talented photographer here, and I'm excluding myself, I'm just a amateur comparing with his talent, he is brilliant, one of the best here, if not the best, and he uses Photoshop. What you are going to do with his pictures under the Photoshop Art category? You recently posted your compliments one one of his artwork, but in reality, you are just JEALOUS because maybe only a few ones here, has his caliber. Stop being part of this disgusting gossip and conspiracy against PHOTOSHOP ART, have a little bit respect for yourself and others.

The right thing to do here, would be the Photoshopers give credit or at least mention the stock-photos they used, and give the proper credits to the stock-photos or public-domain images they would have used in a compilation. Other sites do that, and this is correct and should be inserted in here. The Photoshop Art also should have all the categories under, because as it is very limited as it is actually. Do things right, instead of being promoting all this non-sense, favoritism, etc. You apologize to me, for let some of the low-life in here, call accuse anyone of stealing PUBLIC DOMAIN or STOCK PHOTO, when does are legally to use if they are FREE. Diffamation is for the ignorant ones, who don't know how to compete without prejudice others. That includes you, Jason, who didn't even know we can use PUBLIC DOMAIN, or ROYALTY FREE images, to create art using Photoshop. Go learn something, and let someone inpartial and competent control this NON-SENSE FEEDBACK you promote.

Instead of taking PHOTOSHOP ART category down, just cut the bs posted on the upload pictures which says "May the best picture win", that's how it should be. Replace this with ''May my best friends here with their ugly picture win'', because that's is what is going on here.

I think Justin and Scott are put more efforts than you. Pixoto program has failures, but is improving. It's in Beta trial, so it's up and running but improving, and it's promising. You are not helping they both by promoting DIFFAMATION, and GOSSIPING all day longer in this FEEDBACK site, along with some loosers and shameless people, who SHOULDN'T BE AMONG THE TRUE ARTISTS. They should follow YOU elsewhere, and let Justin and Scott work, because anyone can see they are trying hard, and you are ruining all the good work.
