Sculpting Hands in Artistic Objects???

I disagree that these images should be in Artistic Objects. As I see them they should be in People/Hands or People/Professional. I've reported them and nothing has happened.

And what happened is that one person did it and now we have several entering them. I guess the thinking goes that if you'll let tennis balls in Artistic Objects -- anything goes! And it does ... Explanation pretty please. :)

I am on the fence on this bunch... which is the subject? the hands or the pottery and the wheel and the act of making art?

And to further my objection of anything goes -- I reported a number of times that fruit/veggies splashing in water goes into the food category -- so the tog's workaround is to throw a toy in the water and wins with a toy van and a toy SUV! Come on!! You have to make this a separate category because if you want a toy van in water to represent your "Artistic Objects" category then you might as well do away with the category altogether. This is strictly a "workaround" so that they can continue to dominate the artistic objects category and I'm sick of it. I'm not arguing the talent -- they are AWESOME, but I am arguing that these items belong in water splashes category or create these images a separate category.

And to again further my objection about anything goes, look at the 10 top entries for Artistic Objects this year:
http://www.pixoto.com/images-photogra...
If I went through these entries, I would recategorize 6 of them. (And please, I'm not picking on anyone -- this is about Pixoto's classification and definition of Artistic Objects.) The first should be in FOOD, the second should be in CITY/STREET/PARK, the third should be in CITY/STREET/PARK, the seventh belongs in SPORTS (since Pixoto counts the ball as the subject and not the water splashes); the ninth belongs in CITY/STREET/PARK, and the 10th belongs in CITY/STREET/PARK. That leaves four that should have been moved up to a better position, and no, I'm not upset that I didn't get there because obviously mine are not yet up to par (but someday ...).
So, PLEASE, can we get this category fixed!!!!????

I completely agree that #1 should be in Food, but the strong focus of #2 and #3 are the bench and the cannon, respectively, and I don't think those photographs show scenes of a park but rather of an object, so, personally, I have no issue with them being in Artistic Objects. Same for #9 and #10, I think they're properly categorized. If the photos had a wider angle and showed entire park vistas and the objects weren't the definite subject of the image, then I'd feel differently. As for the tennis ball, I'm on the fence with that -- I'm thinking that a ball can also be a toy (my dog certainly thinks they are LOL) so it could go either way, for me.

Anyway, just my two cents...

Hello After, regarding sculpting photos I think the subject is pottery. I have asked for clarification and I will let you know when I get feedback.
Toy car is a toy, so it correctly belongs in Artistic objects/Toy subcategory.
Regarding top 10 photos in Artistic objects this year, and as Lenore explained for #2,3,9,10 the subject of the photo is object and not the scene.
#7 is toy (ball). Regarding #1 I think it can go in either category (Food or Artistic objects /forks/), but I have asked to be sure.

Okay -- I'm just at such a loss as to the definition of Artistic Objects because it really does go against the grain of everything I would consider the subject of the photo compared to the categories available. I appreciate your reply.

I will probably argue this one to the ground but clearly in this picture the subject is the hands - they represent the focus and more than half of the photo so how is this an artistic object?
