scores from long ago slowly slipping point by point.

As a rule- I remove images that scored below 500. Only photos of my tile work and those with a lot of views (such as the glass marble alphabet) are left up with scores under 500- needless to say- I know which images they were- well now there are 4 more than before- images that had scores right at 500 or just above that are now just below.

These were all at or above 500 for months. There's no reason for them to loose points now. Yes- some were dualed more times- but thats how I got some of them to 500- a while ago. Its not fair to lower scores after they stop officially dualing. Please put these 4 back at 500 so I don't have to take them down.

I know what you mean...Others of us have seen this happening, too...

The thing is, they are not officially done dueling, until the "YEAR'S" awards are decided...My fear is that I'm not sure if they even stop THEN...since they show best "all time" percentages...

Just know you are not alone... :)

As far as I understand, there is not such thing like "stop officially dueling" on Pixoto.
It just rarely happens if your picture has a "long history" (many duels). But there is no "immunity" against duels in future. Even you can make a duel boost.
If you remove some photos, seems logical that it increases the chances of those that remain to "get in line" again sooner.

Oh, that's right...individuals can do that anything to any photo...I was thinking only about Pixoto throwing it into a duel, whenever...

I hadn't even thought of that...

Good point...

I know that-
I'm talking about when I didn't dual boost them.

In the past when I asked about this I was told -

after reaching the max duals for a pro (100-103) and the weekly contest completes- your score will only change if you choose to dual boost it again. Pixoto will choose to dual it as much or as little as they like in future duals- but these have no affect on your score. They don't count.

You are not actively dualed to achieve monthly or yearly standings. They just use your current score.

Generally- if your dual score is lopsided- with more than 10 wins than losses- its worth dualing more in that week and in that month. The bigger the gap between the 2- the more you should dual it- only when the 2 scores have leveled off have you achieved your top score.

Awards are contingent upon a certain state in the past and do not depend on the current standings. Think of it as a medal at the Olympics. Once, your result was the best, but now... :-)

Image score is not an absolute value but relative to other images. If the value of the image score was "cemented" ... then it became absolute, not relative. For lasting value there are awards.

Janna...Were you REALLY told this...?? I mean, are these 'words' like a "Copy/Paste" of what you were told??

>>>"In the past when I asked about this I was told -

I have not heard that...I am curious, as my Top photo was much higher and won a monthly award, but then fell AFTER that. Pixoto was Dueling it...!!

I am SURE that I never boosted it...I KNOW I boosted my second highest and also some others...But I was just holding my breath on the top one...

I began thinking the score could change until the yearly awards were given...

This is interesting...

After all... Why not be subjected to image duels?
More duels, more accurate is your position on leaderboard.

Leaderboard has a sections: Today, Yesterday, This Week, Last Week, This Month, Last Month, This Year and All Time.

How accurate your photo position can be in "All Time" if not compete with the photos from other months / years?
