Are you talking about the person who takes picture of the same girl in black and white in similair poses and ups about 12 of them a day everyday? And they get 600 over on all of them all the time. Yeah that is crazy and its not like there very much better than other photo's. Something really does seem odd about it.

Seems like people would get tired of it and catch on and not continue to vote for them everyday. I sure don't, and its not because there bad photo's its just that there the same pics all the time and everyday. I mean come on man take a picture of something else or get a different subject sheesh. I would go crazy taking the same pics over and over!

So glad this topic came up. Are people not paying attention when they vote on these images? I skip them. This is way past getting old from this guys posts and nothing is done about it. I have reported similar images from him and nothing is done. We need to limit the amount of photos entered in each category per week. And how do you reach almost 700 in the first few hours after posting for the new week?

yeah that perplexes me to how do you put up 14 pics at once everyday and almost everyone if not all gets above 600 all the time. They are the same pics put up over and over too. The only thing I can think is he has multiple accounts and votes for his own pics with those accounts. He puts up so many in the kids category that he's bound to get them to vote on multiple times.

Not sure but it seems very odd!

For example he put up 1 so far today and its already over 100 pts higher than any other picture in the kids category. And its not a very good picture either. I'm convinced the system is being beaten somehow just to many factors for it to not be.

I believe some time back some of his images were removed due to super high votes in to short of time. I think it is happening again. And what does the meaning of no posting near similar images actually mean on this site. His images are all near similar. Yet they remain.

I am sure we are talking about the same images, i think there should be a limit or a solution to this problem, not fair for other people, i could see having 1 or 2 images in the top 20 but leave some spots for others its not fair, many wonderful images don't make it because someone has so many images taking those spots, it's sad, i feel bad for others! Oh well just my opinion

I have just seen it as I wanted to look where my 2 children pictures stay. 10 of the first 14 are from the same tog. After 2 and half years on pixoto, i still don't see any change. It's just not fair for all the others but I know pixoto would answer: they are all different. I didn't have them in the duels but if I see one, I can already say my vote won't go for them

There should be a three limit max per category. Per photographer.

I agree that having a photographer add 20 shots of one person in secession of turning her head is too much and ruins the contest.

I agree about the three limit submission per photographer, per day, per category. I see anywhere from 20 to 40 plus shots per day from the same tog in Animals. When he doesn't make it into the top 10 or top spot he just recycles them hoping to get a different outcome. How many shots of flying eagles with different wing positions does one need to really see? It's boring and shows a lack of creativity at the very least.

This has been brought up before many times but I am assuming Pixoto will never put in such a rule, because it's to their benefit if the tog is making them all available for Market.

I agree, there should be a limit because seeing the same pictures, in similar poses is just boring.....there's nothing skilful or imaginative about it.
Would the buyers be interested though, they want something unique, seeing dozens of the same shot could easily put them off, just like it does us.

The problem is that the site serves two very different purposes.

I've been in a position to purchase stock photography for a garden magazine where I was an editor, and seeing dozens of shots of say, a red rose, is a good thing. It is absolutely not off-putting (what is, however, is seeing lots of low-quality images -- that makes a buyer just choose a different stock photography site). I would want as much choice as possible, and choice can be as small a thing as different angle or different position in the composition (centered, to the left, etc).

And therein lies the issue....as a stock photography site, all these multiple shots are good for business: the more quality product, the better. BUT as a competition site, it annoys those who don't use the site as a venue for their stock shots.

If people are paid members and put their images in the marketplace, then it would be nuts to set a limit -- that would be like telling a farmer at a farmer's market to stop bringing so many great veggies to the market. It doesn't benefit the farmer, it doesn't benefit the people who own the market, and it doesn't benefit the buyers. BUT if people don't put their images in the marketplace, imposing a limit would certainly work. But then pixoto runs the risk of annoying folks who would have paid for a membership and then decide they won't........

Well then maybe there should be a seperate sections one for people that want to up the same photo's from multiple angles for there stock photography and one for people that are in it for the art.

I'm on both 500px and here and I like pixoto because its a duel. But I will admit the quality of the photo's and photographers on 500px are vastly better. To compare I'd say that 500px is like going to a 5 star restaruant and Pixoto is like Mcdonalds with all the generic photo's,and of milking the system.

I like Pixoto and think they have a great concept but there really needs to be some changes and overhauls and more administering of the site and its content and users.

This has been discussed many times, and basically Pixoto don't really care about non pro members, they don't really care about the competition..They do care about
the Stock images and canvas sales... which is of course fair enough... but please please please make the market and non-market image duels separate competitions...Otherwise you will lose those not interested in Market or Canvas sales.. Yes, I am a pro member but don't use Market.

Ok he just uploaded 11 pics right when the new day started and I put up 3 and every pic he puts up already scores higher than others. Same pics he puts up everyday. This is real BS. There are 3 people I have seen that do this everyday The guy with the girl that has a head covering, the guy with the girl in BW and the one with the same girl and dogs and cats.

You can't tell me that there pics are so much better than every other pic on here everyday because if you look they just aren't. They have the system down or something. I'v watched and even if they put there pics up later than most or they don't even boost them they will still slingshot past the others very fast.

I'd like to hear what others think about this?

Jason Butts, I guess you mean I am one of these, and I just have to say that I do not upload the same pics EVERY day. Some days I resubmit one picture or two, but there is nothing illegal by that? (I have resubmitted one picture today, of a boy.) .And what do you mean by: "They have the system down or something."???

Just another observation, if I put up a good pic at times it will get a bad start like 0-4 and I'll resubmit a few times and then it will go like 12-3 to start. But these people pics always do awesome everytime from the get go pretty much every single time. Whats the deal with that?

Heres who I'm talking about

http://www.pixoto.com/nikgeorg
Spams the same BW photo's day after day.

http://www.pixoto.com/janebj
while not bad pics they are very similiar and way over retouched and over use of the noise filter to look uncanny valley to me. The cats eyes are so fake looking also.

http://www.pixoto.com/yudi.prabowo3
Talk about a one trick pony all of these are so similiar and the same its not even funny!

I'm not sure what you really ment by this, but do you think that I'm cheating, Jason Butt? I don't even know how to cheat, and I would never do it either! I respect the rules!

It is OK with me if you think my pictures are rubbish, but please do not accuse me of cheating! I would never ever cheat!!

And by the way, my pictures doesn't always get a good start as you claims! I do the same as you, I resubmit when I got a bad start. Sometimes the pictures do it well, sometimes they don't.

I think your pics are very good actually, just over processed skin and eyes. Not sure if you use the noise filter but I use to do that to and can tell it starts giving the effect of making the photo look more like a painting and losses detail which can be seen when looking closely at the photo which I do when voting. I think your pics would be amazing if they looked more natural but that's just me.

And really I shouldn't have used as an example with the other 2. I guess I seen that some of your pics do very good and you still resubmit them.

you're right Jason, it's very boring. I submitted 2 children pics on sunday and resubmitted one of them today. I didn't upload anything for long time and wanted to try again. The problem is not only in the children category but in many others. Let's see what happens today but I can feel it, it's a waste time. I upload only pictures which had recognitions on other sites but the duels on pixoto are biased and it's to difficult to be in the top. these guys must have a system, they don't play fair

Folks, it's maybe a bug with the black and white girl (the one which gets so many points in very short time). this tog just posted a thread, he has a problem. he has 276 millions credits, which is impossible. so it could be that he get more points than a normal amount when one person votes for one of his picture. What do you think?

What does it matter?. Did you take up or practice photography to compete? Or because you loved it?

Who cares who posts what.

I share my images because i love taking photos. I love sharing them.
If they do well.....great im happy because more people get to see them....if they dont do well.....couldnt care less. I still had alot of fun taking them.

Seems like the competitiveness of human kind takes over once again.

People come here to compete... and although we accept that our scores may be high or low, people do get frustrated when the playing field doesn't seem level.
I can also understand how repetitiveness can be frustrating- especially when repetitiveness is rewarded (purple water lilies) and some of the more creative or interesting shots submitted don't do as well.

For me it is about the taking and sharing photos. However I do like the competition here as it encourages improvement in composition and technique.. No room for cheats!
