Regularly Scheduled Automated Monthly/Yearly Awards ~

Everyone Loves Awards, Especially Pixoto Members!

My contribution to the suggestion box is to automate the monthly and yearly awards like the daily and weekly are. Knowing when awards will be given and then receiving them regularly is very satisfying, while unknowingly waiting is not. November’s monthly awards were given on January 15, January’s awards on March 10, and February’s and 2018’s have yet to be awarded, In discussions with other members, we would greatly appreciate enhancing Pixoto’s computer program to automate the monthly and yearly awards to eliminate the dissatisfaction of uncertainly waiting.

Thank you very much :)

I obviously agree with you, Raphael.
How do you explain that PIXOTO is able to provide the daily and weekly awards, without any problem or delay, whereas for the monthly and annual, since two years it is systematically late...?
No no no, don’t tell me a story about the volume of information, 2019 volumes are much smaller than in 2016 or 2017, and there has never been a problem...
The question is: is there a pilot in the Pixoto plane?

Thank you for the suggestion, Raphael.

Please check Scott's reply about monthly awards "Unfortunately, unlike daily and weekly awards, monthly awards is a manual process. We can look to get it automated within the next few months as we roll out new features. "

So hopefully, when the major update will come, this could be one of the feature implemented.

So, this was 4 months ago... What is the timetable for the "major update" you are talking about that will automate all the awards? What other features are you referring to?

Mia, as Scott replied before timetable was February 2019, but that has been postponed, obviously. I'm sorry I don't know the updated schedule and I don't know any details about features in the update (note that sentence about update and feature was Scott's quote, not mine). I can ask about it and I'll let you know as soon as I get a reply.

SCOTT. Evidently this matter hasn't been solved either to this date. The matter has been discussed in this thread: https://c.getsatisfaction.com/pixoto/...
and in that you've said that "We can look to get it automated within the next few months as we roll out new features." That was now 4 months ago...

Totally agree with Raphael, it is interesting to note Jasenka's response, I hope Scott's update is coming soon.
It was good to see February's awards posted last night.
Once the update is implemented hopefully an increase in participation can be addressed.
As a pro member I can remember the times when 100 duels were achieved within or just over a day, now it is taking over a week.

Hello Pixoto’

Thank you letting us know that enhancing the award automation programming is in progress. In the meantime, is it possible to have regularly scheduled monthly/yearly award dates performed manually, say as an example, on the 3rd Tuesday or the 17th for monthlies and a specific dates for yearlies? I feel this would increase member satisfaction and enthusiasm to vote and duel and spread the word, promoting more membership.

Kind Regards :)

PS: I appreciate Pixoto. I learn alot by dueling, studying how my photos look on the leaderboards next to the competition, prompting new ideas; great feedback loop!
