What do you have to do to get a "pure" tag on your photos?

I have checked the relevant box when submitting the vast majority of my photos since it was introduced and - while I have one photo that currently displays that badge in the top left corner - wondered if the following things were impacting my others:

1) I completely misunderstand what is acceptable editing and a human judge has concurred.
2) I completely misunderstand what is acceptable editing and a bot has concurred.
3) I resubmit my pics a number of times to give them another "crack of the whip" and that somehow loses the "pure" tag.
4) Dare I suggest a software glitch?

Thanks,

Mike.

Oh, and I saw a post from Jason the other day suggesting that usage was much lower than anticipated with this function; not to pull out the piece of paper in an envelope in my drawer that says "I told you so" like I do with many of the projects I deliver for, but could this point at my #4?

Michael - it's new functionality so I'll have to look into it. Can you post a link to an image that is not showing the pure flag?

Thanks Jason.

This one isn't showing as Pure

This one is showing as Pure

I'm pretty sure I consistently check the box when I feel it is appropriate...

Hmm. The one that isn't showing pure is also not marked as pure in our database and it doesn't look like it was resubmitted. Are you positive you checked it?

I couldn't swear blind to it, but my application development background acknowledges you need to ask if it is user error :)

This one, I definitely did, though I have possibly also resubmitted it

I can confirm that when an image is resubmitted it loses its "Pure Photo" tag.

I submitted this image and it was marked with the purple "Pure Photo" icon -- I just resubmitted and the icon disappeared: http://www.pixoto.com/images-photogra...

Since resubmitting an image allows you to change the category, but not to select if it's a "Pure Photo" perhaps the system is just automatically deselecting that option?

Nice shot. How did you get such nice shade variation without using HDR manipulation or heavy post shot lighting controls?

Thanks. No HDR here. I used a red filter to darken the sky as well as burning it in a bit in post. Bumped the contrast as well (same deal with the image posted below). Not sure if this counts as making it "impure" though, as the definition is still pretty vague.

Sounds close enough to me. Good idea with the red filter. I remember that from the old days with my Nikon F and Kodak Tri-X film :)

I can't seem to find where the pure photo tag is supposed to be,. Can someone post an image showing the tag? Or tell me where to look once I have posted a pure photo?
Thanks

Hmmmm. Thanks Brandon. None of the photos in my profile has the pure photo mark even thought I have been checking the box as per instructions.
Jason, can you check on this for me please? I just uploaded one this morning and I am sure I marked it as pure but the icon is not showing up.

Just and FYI. I just uploaded 5 photos all marked pure and none of them are displaying the pure icon. I am sure you are working on it.

Yes - we should have a fix shortly and we will create a method for you to go back to images you already uploaded and add the flag.

I only have one showing the pure tag. I have checked the pure tag box on at least 10 images and they are not showing on the image either.
