Even when I have more wins than losses and in the last 3-4 duels I have won all of them, and the number of duels are under 100, even then duels are being paused within 5 minutes of restarting. And restarting duels is a BIG hassle. Keep closing the page and restarting it and then sometimes it's working. Image credits are also totally wonky. Pixoto is more headache than anything else lately.

Arkamitra. I'm really sorry you feel this way. If you have a imagescore below about 520 at 100 duels unpausing the image probably won't do you any good. It is incredibly unlikely that it will reach the top 10%...

What problems are you having with the unpausing process? we might be having an issue with IE8...

What do you mean about image credits being wonky? We had some issues with that last night but think we've corrected them so please let us know if something else is wrong.

Here is a description of why we pause:
Images get paused if they are statistically unlikely to move up to the top 10% of all images (approximately 615 ImageScore). Sometimes we determine this within this within 6 duels sometimes it takes 100. The key is that in order to provide good clarity into which images are in the top 10 we must vote the best images a lot. With a limited amount of duels available to us the best way to accomplish this is by pausing images once we’ve determined that they are not likely to get near the top. We use statistics so by definition we are not 100% confident that the image should be paused and so to address this issue we added the “get more votes” feature (the “play” button on the leaderboards)

People aren't legitimately choosing which photo is better because all they're doing is clicking "any picture" in a duel since it gives them more credits to boost their images either way.

It's true that some people don't. That said we have very sophisticated algorithms that detect them quickly and discount their votes to zero. So the impact on the system is negligible...
