Pixoto Site

Dear Pixoto team members,

I received an email that my Pixoto "Sites" Free Trial is expired and my portfolio site is now offline and I need to upgrade to Pixoto Pro to reactivate it.
I thought this Pro Account was optional, I could have it if I want to and if I don't want that is ok too.
Can you please help me to understand better? If I won't open Pro Account what is going to happen?
Will I be able to upload photos or no? If I will be able to upload would anybody see them or no?

Would I still get awards or not any more?

If answer to all these questions are no/not any more in that case I would love to remove my photos and cancel my site.
I hope I won't need to cancel because I am really enjoying this.
Respectfully,

You don't need to upgrade. The pixoto "Sites" trial is our portfolio system (e.g. http://jason.pixoto.com) . If you don't want that then you can get all you need from the free Pixoto account.

Well, couple of my photos got good scores, they reached 600 but they didn't get any awards. For example I uploaded one photo last night and it hit 600 very soon, I thought It would get an award today by 3pm (daily awards are assigned at 3pm following day) but nothing happened. I don't understand why, how does this system works? My other picture with the lower score got award but one with 600 doesn't. Sometimes it says 15% of all times, sometimes 20% of all times(on the photo). My understanding is that it would get an award. But unfortunately it didn't.
Could you please help me to understand this topic?
Thank you in advance!

Natalia - It's likely due the the time differences. All of our times are in GMT - are you using that in your calculations? If you would like to post an example image - I can tell you more.

This image has an award so I can only assume that it did not at the time you wrote this - which means that you probably related to the time zone differences. Make sure you are looking at the "Date Uploaded" on the image detail page as a reference.

My photo just won a A Couch photo challenge award.
Can I get this prize in cash or do I have to use it for Pixoto credit?

Thank you in advance!

I am confused about the "couch" award, mentioned above. The Challenge rules state "The photo should be of just the couch with clean look and a simple back ground that can be edited out" and I do not understand how a photo that doesn't follow those rules took first place.

This is absolutely NOT a criticism of the photo, Natalia. I like your image :-)

I agree - but ironically it was the closest to what we were looking for.

Jason ... ironically, how can be something closest to the rules? ... it is by the rules or it is not ... can not say, you have to catch the ball to win, and when you don't catch it, but you almost got it ... you win, because you were so close ... the olympics would be so much easier ... :D ... I agree with LenoreL

Thank you that you really like my photo, but I am really sad to hear that you don't think it deserved first place :(.
What is that comment means in reference to my question? I am confused too and I was happy this morning seeing that my picture won the award.

Thank you once again for your time!
