Pixoto: What's going on?

I am worried about Pixoto. Submission rates seem to be down, contests never close when they should, monthly awards are still not issued on time, the yearly awards schedule for 2018 hasn't been published yet although it's April 2019 by now and worse of all: many old members have either already moved on and left the site or diminished their activity considerably. It seems that people are tired of having to ask for answers to the same questions week after week, month after month without getting any meaningful answers. Is this how it's going to be? If you share my worries, please comment on this topic!

Hi Mia, thank you for your contribution, i`m afraid, no matter how often we report issues or suggestions nothing will ever happen to sett the pixoto world on "fire"!

Submissions are down because lots of photographers gave up and left the site, thats why contests never close on time, not enouph voters!

You, me and others, have made over the years so many constructive suggestions and proposals and never got a satisfactory reply and very often not even an answer.

Sometimes we are lucky to receive a "positive" answer from Scott, mostly  whith lots of intends and promises that by a majority never get transformed.

Very often i couldn`t help thinking, that this is only  delaying tactics!

Last year (2018) i haven`t entered any images and so this year. I gave up like lots of other Photographers,  looks as if this is Pixotos intend and goal, or how could you explain pixotos behavior?

I think we all had sufficient patience over the years, its time to admit that all our hopes, efforts, suggestions ideas etc. are a waste of time and going down the drain but, ..........  Scott can put me right!  *lol*

The truth sometimes hurts!

Renos, the contests not closing on time are actually due to the opposite.  The amount of votes allocated by the system to contests was not sufficient to keep up with the amount of submissions.

Over all, the number of votes have been up, but due to a fix that limited the amount of contests votes a user could see, prevented the system from keeping up getting the appropriate votes for challenges.

We plan on getting this addressed, but considering that the contests do end up closing, it is not a high priority issue at this time.  Plan on seeing it fixed within a 90 day timeframe.

To summarize:
Ironically, the contest issue was created by a higher number of submissions which was followed by an increase in duels, but the duels were not properly allocated to the contests.
