This is the reason I left and probably many others:
http://www.pixoto.com/images-photogra...
My picture of course but here are the first 2 it lost to:https://www.pixoto.com/images-photogr... and https://www.pixoto.com/images-photogr....
I do not pretend to be a good photographer, just a decent one who likes doing it but there is no way in heaven mine should have lost to those 2. Not because it is mine but for the simple reason that I tried to just look at it as if it was not mine. I just came back and posted 3 oictures to see if anything changed. No and probably never will until it will be too late. I liked Pixoto but it just seems not to care about anything anymore (sorry Jasenka, I did not mean you, you are probably the only one that really cares anymore).

Hello John, if you are not satisfied with your score, you can resubmit image(s). Some users vote for images that may have lower quality but they have some meanings to them, while other users vote for quality (pin sharp focus, rules of third, other technical aspects of image) regardless of what is on the image.

I hope this helps.

Thank you Jasenka. I can submit it as many times as I want it will still go array at some point. That is why I always felt that there cannot be a decent voting without some kind of a scaled voting power based on accomplishments.
Someone from, Dhaka let's say, sees a bad picture, has posted maybe 50 pictures and has I don't know, 3000 points 3 awards for the sake of the argument, sees a bad picture reminding him of home and votes for that one. It seems hardly fair. Anyway I don't mean to move mountains. It is rather simple: if I don't like it I know where the "door" is.
Again, thank you for being around Jasenka.

You (in my opinion) never should have lost to that trash. I have run into the same issue here. Noise, poor exp. out of focus, just to mention a few. It is not the reps or even the owners of pixoto. It is the voters. voting to just get those credits. It would be nice it Team Pixoto could get a handle on it, and correct it.

OK, let me join this fracas. Felicia, your photo is technically perfect; clear, focused, nice placement, etc. The others are NOT technically as good as yours. The subject in your photo seems sweet, innocent, and I bet, a lovely human being. HOWEVER, when the others are seen next to yours, they just seem more "interesting." There's expression and "liveliness" in the others. The boy in your photo just seems to be sitting there with nothing "going on" in the photograph. If he's your son, I don't mean to imply anything about his character or personality, just about what the photo "does." And maybe, if he's your son, it will be hard to hear any of this. Sorry about that, but I'm just talking about coming upon two photos (yours and either of the others) and deciding how to vote. I would admire your technical skill and vote for the other ones.

Alright, here is my most recent picture, and most recent losing duel. Please explain how the subject of the other image is more interesting or lively.

Mine:

Theirs:

She's so underexposed and blurry. I understand that people vote for different reasons, but I'm not sure that there's much integrity in it.

There is no explanation - it has to be that people vote without any thought just to get credits. Austinites need to stand up for each other :)

I suggested several times that the voters must earn their ranks based on accomplishments and their power of voting should reflect their rank. So someone with 1,000 points cannot have the same voting power as someone with let's say 100,000 or more points. The system would not be perfect because power tends to corrupt but anything is better than this.

Followed you, Kelley. :)
I guess it's pointless to complain about. People have been complaining about it since Pixoto started, and they don't care. I keep thinking about closing my account, but haven't quite reached that point. It's still a bit fun, though totally useless.
