hello pixoto!

i would like to share something about photos getting downloaded from your site without watermarks. i recently found one of my photos posted in a forum that came from pixoto, i asked the person how he managed to get a copy of the photo without buying it and without watermark. he told me to "view page source" and indeed i found that they can download the image from this section of your code...

meta property="og:image" content="http://lh3.googleusercontent.com/Bou2..."

you should look into that security hole, even if the photos are not in full resolution people can still get copies of photos without watermarks or copyright marks. and its not good when people can steal photos from a site that i thought was secured.

since the photo was taken from your website, are you going to chase that person for me? or will you make any charges against him?

Hello Francis, images that are watermarked can be opened in way you described but not in resolution bigger then 700px on larger side. Images that are not watermarked can be opened in way you described in resolution no bigger then one displayed on image detail page - 900 px on larger side.
The sizes are the same as they are shown unwatermarked on feed.

im not sure if you get my point about the problem.

the problem is people with tech knowledge can get photos from your website. check out viewbug, right click is disabled and you cant even view the page source. maybe you can do the same type of security for us the users. people who can steal photos from your website are also stealing from us photographers, posting them anywhere without asking for permission even if its in a small resolution its still stealing. its still copyright infringement.

your site is not making it secure for us photographers.
