I don't think it's fair to pause images that are entered in challenges, that gives others an unfair advantage. Sometimes funds are short so we can't always renew our pro status as soon as we'd like , I don't think our chances in challenges should suffer due to this, we are still members.

Assuming you are talking about Community Challenges:

"Challenge" contests are totally separate from the main contests where you can boost and un-pause your images to get more duels (unless you're PRO).

The only credits you have to spend on "Challenges" are the credits you spend to enter. Nothing else. So being a PRO doesn't give you any advantages in Community Challenges.

Thank you Shooting for helping Anne, you are correct, of course.

Now, being PRO doesn't give you "unfair advantages". PRO members pay for the convenience of not checking and boosting their images from time to time.

It's the world's reality that you have to pay some "coins" to get conveniences not available in the norm.

No, I don't own Pixoto. But since I helped you with your question, a simple "Thank You" would suffice. :-)

No, actually you didn't, and you didn't explain community challenges vs main challenges, but thanks anyway. And I'm sorry if I was wrong and I took it the wrong way, but it just seemed like a tone if you know what i mean.

For the record, of COURSE being a Pro member gives you an advantage. Is it "unfair"? Well, in that we all can get a pro membership if we want to pay, then I guess not, but vs those who are non-pro members? If the object is fair and equitable competition, then yes, it's an "unfair" advantage.
You are guaranteed 100 duels. Non pro members will be paused if they lose the first couple of duels, while pro members' images will continue dueling regardless of performance, and can be resubmitted and get another 100 duels. As an example - an image I posted yesterday was paused, resubmitted, paused again, resubmitted and is currently scoring over 650. A pro member would not have needed to resubmit this image three times. It would have organically succeeded by virtue of being guaranteed 100 duels.

Challenges vs "main contests" what do you mean, and maybe I posted this in the wrong place but I was looking for an answer from someone who works at pixoto, wasn't looking for member opinions.

This is a community forum. If you don't want to hear from other member "opinions", then you can just e-mail Pixoto directly.

I thought it was directed at pixoto directly, it was a mistake, thanks for your snottiness. And maybe next time try reading the whole post and not just the title and/or first sentence.

I can't see where Shooting was being judgemental or 'snotty' as you put it. simply answered your question,, I think you are the one being snotty. and he certainly wasn't being nasty. concise and brief.

Well just seemed like a tone, with the "you have to pay some coin" comment. If I am wrong, forgive me, but it just seemed like a tone to me.

Hey Anne, I like your question if I understand it correctly...Are you asking whether images paused in the regular duels are also paused in the challenge contests? I thought images entered in contests are dueled in that contest regardless of having a paused status in the individual duel results and challenge results don't affect the regular duel history.

Hopefully a Pixoto rep will come along and explain this.

Tim, I think you are correct.. the challenges are separate and pausing in the contests does not affect the challenges.

Thanks Tim, not sure but I have seen photos I currently have in a challenge being paused repeatedly including those with a score over 500. I don't have time to be checking them and unpausing them all day as I am sure no one else does. But maybe you are right, maybe they are only paused in regular duel and not the challenges, I hope so, thanks Tim for getting what I meant.

You're very welcome, I seem to remember having more than one image that was doing poorly and paused, but still did well in a challenge contest even though it was paused.
