I am getting only one credit per comment. I am sure its a bug because it started suddenly. I need someone to fix it because it is taking a lot of time in earning credits and using to upload/unpause images.

It may have changed because too many people where using the comments just to accumulate points. Do some duels instead its far more interesting and you get to see a lot more of the great pics on this site. Doesn't take long to get enough credits to do what you want (submit, boost and unpause)

Also, it's only fair to participate in the voting when you are participating in the duelling! :-)

Hitesh - due to abuse we have lowered the credits earned to 1 per comment.  We have also removed the credits for some types of repetitive comments.  Thank you.

Instead of giving 3 credits for commenting, I think it would be a great idea to increase credits for voting. This would motivate users to vote.

Hey Jason

Thank you for the kind reply. I understand your situation. However, what I wanted to know was whether the "one credit per comment" is for everyone? As long as rules are same for everyone, I am good with it. :)

Regards

Hitesh

I rarely comment and when I have done I have put some substance into it so there is no reason to believe I would have my points restricted to one point. I did a few comments yesterday and only received 1 point so it would appear that it's one point for all.

Yes - it is for everyone. Note that the statement under the comment box now says earn 1 credit per comment...

I don'T receive any point for my comments or my votes. My english is not very good so it is not easy to express me on my comments then I write the same words almost all the time and ppl understand that I appreciate the picture and usually answer me. If my opinion in duel is not taken into consideration or if my comments don't give me any point, I don't see much interest into login into pixoto as much as I was doing until tonight.

Samual, it does say "Earn 1 credit for each comment" right next to the comment box.

I don't see what the issue is unless you are leaving comments just to accumulate points. I love that my inbox isn't filled with emails letting me know that I have had a comment saying "nice"

Not that I get a lot of comments on my pictures but I would have to agree with you. I wouldnt want my inbox getting filled up with emails letting me know that as well. Besides its faster and easy to accumulate credits by participating in the votes.

Haven't you think that those ppl voting a lot are maye just disable person having nothing more to do all day long? And maybe that those just saying great or nice are just not able to express themself in a better way in english? I find it GREAT to receive email telling me someone wrote a few words. It doesn't matter how many words. ( Anyway the only long comment I received was to tell me that my cat would be better if his eyes weren't green.)
NOW I realised that the fact that I pass a lot of time voting and commenting is viwed like a fraud or some kind of cheating????? Seriously??? The only thing I can do in a day ( looking at pictures and vote) is not taken into consideration? My votes aren't good enough to be considered?

Well ... too bad I am tired to receive no points for all the time I pass here.
I am going to find some other things to do.

I used to make simple comments if I genuinely thought the image was "nice" or "cool." Sometimes "very nice!" or very cool!" I would add other encouraging comments or longer ones if I thought the image had promise or was exceptional. I also realize not everyone on Pixoto is fluent in English or even speak English. "Nice" may be the best they can do. I realize there are others just out to collect points. I'm giving everyone the benefit of doubt. I also SKIP picking/voting on mediocre and wrongly categorized images.

And in kind when someone said "nice" or anything appreciative I would check out their other work to see if there was anything else that I liked. I've made a number connections this way and found some really great photographers.

Now I feel like saying something simple, even though concise is taken as cheating. So I haven't been commenting much.

I write nice , great , nice and really think so . I think that these might be encouraging for people who are starting to photograph . for those professional I think the same should accept komenatre take because I do not think they just all just collectors points. I can not comment on the images that we do not like. There are photos that leave you breathless and leave them longer comment . I do not write much in English because I do not know to write (this is written in google translate ) . I think they should not diminish the value of such comments , ban you people and putting them in less valuable commentators so they reduce loans for posting comments . so for me , I got a message that I was banned , I get +1 though when we publish a comment wrote +3. there are people who can not afford to pay the loan in order to publish photos and more photos once commented to earn as many credits as they need to be published. Ultimately , these comments do not offend anyone . I very often get an email with " beautiful " and that pleases me , although I see that there are those angry such mails . be reasonable because people here are not just the English-speaking world . on this service are people from all over the world, from all continents ( inhabited) . I personally know people who do not know basic English only " nice ", " good " etc. .. therefore , it would be wrong to all have the same "price" comment . thank you , what were you listening. (this is form google translate)

No one is saying its cheating just annoying. If you want to blame anyone blame the ones that abused the system. We understand this is a world wide site and many member's don't speak English. Using the comments to accumulate points is not right and without people voting it defeats the purpose of the contest. If I like a photo enough to comment then its deserves a shot sentence expressing my approval. The proof that it was being abused is that once the points were dropped to one 90% of the comments stopped. In time getting one word commits will be back to were it used to be and it wont be so annoying to everyone.

Its 1 point per comment.....who nows what might happen in the future, but certainly the abuse seems to have stopped.
