From what we can tell this is one of the most error free releases we've ever put out ;)

The troubles I was having didn't occur prior to 10 pm eastern time (8 mountain), I'm pretty sure......but not positive. I haven't dueled yet today -- I'll definitely post here if this happens again.

Great to hear that there are improvements :) , but I can still pull out watermarked images and the watermark disappears, using the method previously mentioned.
Is there a way of putting a watermark on all the old images?

Thank you

Heidi - if you go to www.pixoto.com/settings/market and select to have you images watermarked it will apply it to all of your old images.

You can pull a unwatermarked image - but it is limited to 700 pixels (i.e. the size of the image on the feed)

Thank you Jason,

I just pulled out one from pixoto and google which is 2.49MB, but it is not watermarked at the start.

Isn't there a way to keep the watermark on the images? There are the images which has the watermark stuck and the others who doesn't in google, even if they are watermarked in pixoto. I just pulled one out from google which is greater than 700. This is an images which is watermarked, but does not appear watermarked in google .

You have to have an account to have a feed - so it is traceable.

We'll have to wait for google to update their urls for images. This may take a few weeks.

Thanks for all the changes. I just checked the 5th one
5) Fixed "My Pixoto Images" filtering on challenge pages

... and it works great. It was so required. I couldn't enter so many challenges because of that. Also I was just about to mention about the filter on the cover photos as a problem and it got fixed by itself. Great job all of you on Pixoto Team! Thanks!

I haven't dueled today, will let you know if I come across of any errors.

I just checked the link on the 7th.
7) Monthly award links for January now work (see: http://www.pixoto.com/jaavitsland/awa...)

and I clicked the filter ( Abstract) of categories on that page and this page appeared which has the bases of awards showing on the page. I think it's because there are no images in the Abstract category.

I was hoping the duels would be back to normal, it went well with the duels to start with got 40 in around 3 hours until it stopped. No more duels in the last 10+ hours. So deleted the photo.

In fact, one duel in over 3 hours with a boosted image... Once again, the new update is working GREAT...

Unfortunately - 1 duel every 2 hours is the new norm for boosted images.

Basically, what you are saying above is if we boost our images, it will take 10 hours to get those 5 duels? So, we can expect our non-pro accounts to take EIGHT DAYS to reach 100 duels? I guess that's about right then, as one of my images submitted on February 8 has just NOW reached 100 duels (though another has NOT), and my image submitted on 2/7 has STILL not reached 100 duels....
Yet the PRO accounts (even those with lower scoring images) are *still* getting more duels (even though less than before), so please don't give me the reason that the images aren't "trending well"...

You have a problem here, Jason... If images aren't dueling, then no one is going to be voting, because they won't need the credits. Its a circular problem, because the less people vote, the fewer duels will be had, and the fewer duels there are, the less folks vote... My own voting has dropped off about 80% because I can't boost my images, therefore don't need to spend a couple hours every day voting on images to get credits.

I wish Pixoto would do something about the duels...Why do they promise 100 duels with a paying account and we are getting nowhere, still standing at barely 40 duels with images uploaded days ago? This is ridiculous...that, and the fact that I'm REALLY getting fed up with running across water lillies and flying eagles with fish while voting...

Marie - for the past few months we have been giving PRO images, and boosted images, their duels too fast to the detriment of other images. PRO images will still get their 100 duels (you can see that all of your images uploaded on Friday are almost there) but it will take about 30-40% longer.

Didn't everyone with a non-PRO account have the same ability to boost their images? How is that unfair? Shouldn't boosted images get more duels than non-boosted images? Assuming all have the same opportunity to boost, how does that work to the detriment of other images? Isn't that how you keep people voting on this site?

You notice they seem to get plenty of duels... Certain people consistently do. It makes no sense. Personally, I am tired of their lame excuses. There is a clear bias on this site. Can we pay extra for it?

This is my experience since the newest update: When I am voting in the duels, I can get in only a few duels and then it just freezes. I either get the little wheel spinning or I have a black screen. The screen actually has phantom images because if I click where an image should be, I get one credit and a new duel comes up. This happens most, but not all, of the time. Sometimes I will exit out, go back in and get one dual, and then it freezes. So I exit out, go back in, get one duel, and it happens again. That's very frustrating.

This has nothing to do with my equipment. It happens identically on my iPad and my up-to-date, less-than-a-year-old HP laptop. And this didn't start until the new update. However it's happened, it's messed up dueling for me.

So this is the bottom line: I used to vote A LOT. I liked to keep my credits up around 1,000 or more. I am not voting near as often as I used to -- which hurts the numbers of duels happening. How many others have drastically cut down their volume of dueling?

The only reason I have kept at it, doggedly, for the past few days is that there were a couple of challenges into which I wanted to enter multiple images, so I needed credits to post them here, and in the challenges. But they have now been dealt with, so what do I do now? If my photos are hardly going to get any duels, then I will hardly post any. So I won't need a lot of credits. So I won't need to duel very much.

So, I won't.

Exactly Lenore... This is what I was saying above... The problem is circular... We can't boost our images, because they are only getting ten duels a DAY if we do (why does *boosting* images slow them down??? Its counter-intuitive...)

So, we aren't using credits to boost our images. So we don't vote because we don't need the credits. So, the number of votes/voters has decreased. The less people vote, the fewer duels people get, and the fewer credits we need, so the less we vote... Added to that is this "voter entrapment system" that has been instituted, so that those who DO vote run the real risk of getting their voting privileges suspended.

I can probably count on one hand the number of times I've boosted images in the last week... I used to spend a couple hours a day voting, to get the credits I needed to boost my images, as its the only way to keep them competitive with those guaranteed 100 duels. Since I can't boost my images, I only need enough credits to get them entered (and frankly, I stopped entering anything for almost a week because of the problems here, and entered again only because we were assured the problems dueling had been addressed...). My voting has gone from a few hundred duels a day to less than 100, *if I vote at all*. I doubt very much I am unusual too, since I view voting as a chore, and don't necessarily do so at length because I "want" to, and suspect the same is true of most people.

If something isn't done to correct this, this site is going to die....

Lenore - we think we may have found the issue behind images not being served. Thank you for staying on this. Let us know if it is still happening.

It's true that you can't boost as often. But I think Susan said it best:
" I used to spend a couple hours a day voting, to get the credits I needed to boost my images, as its the only way to keep them competitive with those guaranteed 100 duels. "

The system wasn't designed to be that way. We DON'T want you to have to boost to keep your images competitive. So now you shouldn't have to boost nearly as much. Sure it means less voting overall - but that's the price we'll have to pay in order to keep the voting fair for all. Don't worry - there are still plenty of votes to go around. You're just not going to see every high scoring image in the 170 duel range after a week...

We are going to add the ability to buy as many duel boost credits as you want instead of just 5 at a time. This should help add more overall votes to the system.

Most of the images which used to go up on the leaderboard have now stopped moving up the leaderbaord after 45-50 duels. I think this is due to the the new scoring system. Is it designed this way? The images take longer to duel and then get stuck at a score and do not move up the leaderboard.

Generally for the first day 40-50 imageduels is our target for mid-scoring images. 60s and 70s for high scoring images. For non-pro mid scoring images dueling may stop completely at 40-50 (or in the 100s for high-scoring images). High scoring PRO images will get their 100 duels in 2-3 days and lower scoring PRO images may take as long as 5 or 6. VERY low scoring images (i.e. under 400) might take as long as 8 days.
