New Category Needed For "Lightpainting" We are not abstract, we are not nature / city / any of your categories .. we are light painters ...

you have a huge problem for fans of Lightpainting Photography ...
people who don't understand what we are doing are recategorising our artworks into boring daytime photo categories / "digital art" or starscapes, which they are not ... The only category with LP in it at the moment is "abstract" subcategory "lightpainting" .. which means we get bundled with water drop pics; that is ... if some jobs worthy doesn't think we're photoshop users and bungs us in "digital art"
Your staff claim that if theres a car in the photo it should be "automotive" .. Tree it should be "nature", despite the fact that the most popular pic in LP is a steel wooled mini ... it's all bollocks frankly ... Excuse my french :)

There is an easy solution ....

Please give us a "lightpainting" only category and put someone on it who actually knows the scene ... :) at the moment we have bird watchers telling us we photoshop and are digital artists and such like when in actual fact a lightpainter is usually the least likely to do any processing in their photos out of any group of photographers ... although we may look that way to others as thats what we are trying to do - create fantasies from the very real lights we take out with us ...

hope you can sort this,
all the best, Jim

Totally agree. Give LP its own category.
