New category - "Help-me"

Looking lots of images in Pixoto that are wrongly submitted, it will be nice if you open new category where customers can put their images, and in 24 h someone in Pixoto will re-categorized such images into right place.

Babica, you have a good idea there. Of course, lots of the miscategorized photos are likely due to people thinking they have put their photos in the right category, so I don't know how much it would help the overall situation, BUT I absolutely agree that it would be nice if Pixoto had some sort of system in place to help those who are new and confused. I know I see miscategorized photos that have won an award and I know how badly the photographer will feel when they lose that award, likely their first on Pixoto, when the photo gets moved to the right category.

I'm sure Pixoto doesn't have the staff right now to handle this themselves, but perhaps they would consider a feature for new members so that when uploading photos, they had something like a 24-hour grace period before they have to choose a category and the photo starts dueling.......so that they could come into this forum and have the members go look at their photo and suggest the proper category.

I don't know what the rest of people do, but I try to leave a comment when voting for them to let the 'tog know they are in the wrong category...

No, please don't have staff move to other categories! I don't like that idea at all!!

Pixoto staff re-categorize lots of reported images - it is the fact.
I do not want to report any image and I already wrote my reason.

But I noted that lots of images are submitted into wrong category. Maybe some members do not know where to put their images.

Therefore, in my opinion it is much better if there is "help" category from where Pixoto re-categorized images where they belongs (in 24 hours) than to do it after damage of 50 or more duels in category. And it will be nice if the "Help" category has no duels - so no damage will be done.

I do not think that is about number of stuff. After all, most of wrongly categorized photos you can recognized from thumbnail images. And it takes daily an hour or two to do order.

The question is - do Pixoto cares about the damage of wrongly categorized images even if they re-categorize them. I am afraid they do not care.

Hello Babica, thank you for your suggestion, I will forward it. We do care and we are aware this is a problem so we are looking at ways to be more proactive about it in a cost effective manner.
