Nature in natural habitat! Please...

A few photographers throw high numbers of very similar photos of shop bought, cultivated flowers, taken in the studio - at the nature up close category. Wish there were two subcategories, one for flowers in habitat and one for flowers in studio conditions.

Many of the players in question submit loads of photos (even on the same day) of the same flowers (slightly different angle, recrops, etc) and get away with it time and again despite the Pixoto policy very clearly stating...

"NO VERY SIMILAR IMAGES: You may submit an unlimited number of images but each one must be significantly different from the others. This means only one image of any subject and scene/pose combination is allowed (e.g. either b/w or color - not both)"

Not sure where the pride could be in reaping awards for these multiple similar photos? UGH!

I agree with this- it seems that the Nature up Close category is dominated by studio flowers- with water drops (: - and rarely do gorgeous photos of other gorgeous nature win. I have seen awesome photos of milkweed, plants, leaves in beautiful golden light but they don't have a chance of ranking against perfectly lit studio images. All are gorgeous, but this category is very popular- I think there might be enough interest to create a new category.
