Mature images not flagged AGAIN.

This is second time in two weeks that there are mature images not listed as mature. There are two images like this in the top 15 right now.
I love photography and I really like this web site but if this doesn't stop I am never coming back again. PLEASE do something to stop this. Photos of people without clothes on should have to be flagged as mature. I don't want to have to scroll through pornography to see the beautiful landscapes and nature images. Please fix this NOW!

Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that users will appropriately flag images as Mature when they submit them and we receive too many images on a daily basis for our small team to manually review each one. It simply is not feasible. Therefore, we rely on the community to report images that should be marked as mature (but aren't), are in the wrong category, etc.

I can appreciate where you are coming from, but I don't know that we can solve this problem entirely.

If you have any suggestions, we would be happy to consider them.

Thanks!

Yes I like to see this problem fix myself....... if you want nudes (and I find a lot of them here pornographic) they should be under seperate category people have to check in to view....
Is this gonne get fix in the future ?
And is that pre-ticked box for everyone gonne change ? Is that getting fixed ?
And how do you protect kids from viewing it ?

Why do nude contents need to be marked anyway? aren't we all adults here?. I don't think there are many underage children hanging around this site trying to win an award. Why would an adult person have a problem seeing a naked body?. Only sexually explicit material should be flagged and not just any nudes.
Nudity in photography and art in general is very common. If we choose to be into photography and art then we shouldn't make a big deal of nudity. "EQUAL" freedom of expression should be permitted down to reasonable limits.
If you take your child to a museum, they'll see many nude paintings and sculptures done by world famous masters. Unless you keep your child from going to museums for immorality reasons, then you have an issue to address to begin with.
The subject of nudity as an art form has been used for thousands of years and already been argued, settled, and accepted for hundreds of years. that what we all should know and realize that this is not a religious but photography, art, and freedom of expression issue. I believe that any form of tasteful art should be allowed, I also believe that we all know what is "tasteful".
I think this site created this problem by trying to flag nudity at first. If they let it flow naturally, people would have not expected otherwise and complained about it.
People who get to know this site love it because it is international, diverse, and educating tho we see images we don't elsewhere. This diversity should carry on all throughout here.
The principal should be "inclusion" not "exclusion". Instead of preaching others to live without it, get yourself accustomed to seeing it.The fact is, the more we see, the more we appreciate what we have.
I suggest to individuals in charge of this site to sensor sexually explicit material and allow artistic nudity to flow naturally in contents without restrictions.

First, I dont see any problem. Naked body is just naked body, something natural and beautiful in all shapes and sizes. There IS NO PORNOGRAPHY here at Pixoto. To call those artistic and beautiful images pornography is just way out of the line.

Second, Pixoto is receiving over 5000 images per day. Guys from Pixoto cannot by themselves go thru every single image and flag mature content. That option is available for every photo players upload and sometimes it happens players forget to tick mature content box before they submit their photos. Simple as that.

Third, I see only one image from mature category (spot 14) in the first 200 and it is clearly position in artistic nudes. As far as i know you can opt out every time you log in if you want to see mature content or not. If you opt out during the log in process you will not see any mature content.

Opting for no mature content guarantees nothing. Nudes and Boudoir photos should automatically be tagged as mature by the site, how hard can that be? If we have no issues saying that people under a certain age cannot do certain things that adults can do then why is it so unreasonable to expect this on a site that is clearly open to all ages for viewing?
The other issue is that the default setting for Pixoto is to have the Mature Content box pre-ticked for us. Not sure who came up with that feature.

I agree with you Brad. Nudes and Boudoir should automatically be tagged as Mature. Also by default they should not show mature content when one opens the website.

Rule of thumb... if it contains any "naughty bits" then flag it as mature. If not, even if nude, then I see no problem with it. In this case, it is the complainers that should be more mature.

Personally, I think the whole "I'll be traumatized and spend years in therapy if I see a nipple" thing is ridiculous. In many places in Europe (and even North America) there are nude beaches where families go and children play in the sand, oblivious to all the naughty bits because they have never been taught that they are evil.

However, I also support the concept of universal respect for other's beliefs, religions and moral values. If they do not wish to see bewbees, then that should be their right to choose not to.

Flagging an image as "mature" is no big deal and I don't mind doing it. In fact, you could really post nudes to any category as long as it is relevant to the category and your image is properly flagged.

This site is pretty open and some sites don't allow nudes at all. So it's a small price to pay to appease those with sensitive eyes.
