Leverage photos as stock photography!

Jason - I'd love to be able to pay to reuse some of these photos for advertising as stock photography. Can you enable a download of a full res image and hook up some sort of royalty payment system? I know that's a big deal for infrastructure, but would really extend the scope of the site. Pixoto takes a cut of the transaction and the photographer makes some $$. The higher rated the photo the more expensive. - Tom K

There is also a site called zenfolio.com that has everything you need to upload, store, display and sell your photos and other media. They have everything all set up. You just decide what percentage markup you want on your work and they do the rest. You can even brand the site with your name ie... http://andrewhalpern.zenfolio.com.

Let us sell under the Pixoto banner.

Let us choose which images we'd like to have for sale. And the prices (plus Terms, Usages etc).

Let Pixoto benefit a little from our good fortune by getting a small commission from each sale.

Keep it seamless so that if a user finds their way to Pixoto, and finds an image they'd like to buy, then all they have to do is click a button and send some funds.

Shopping Cart solutions are not difficult to implement and it adds yet another 'string' to Pixoto's bow. Maybe it's time for a user survey to find out what the Pixotics feel?

Here's the link to zenfolio.com which outlines their offering. I'm sure that Pixoto will be able to offer even more, to even more users, for even less.

Let's get voting - so that we can get back to shooting.

Pixoto has a long way to go before they reach the quality of the zenfolio site. There is not much you can't configure on zenfolio and the back office stuff is all taken care of for you. If Pixoto can get the the usability point that zenfolio is at and combine it with the dualing feature of pixoto it will be a killer site.
