Hello Heather, you can write in Challenge description and then in additional rules you can explain more what you are exactly looking for.

photos of nature overcoming man-made placed/created barriers or obstacles by going/growing around them or over or under or through them, but winning the battle of nature vs man-made
moss, mold, and rust do not count

The Bridges challenge was a Pixoto challenge Nedeljko. Heather is asking for help on how to rephrase the her challenge description.
I too am surprised why your bridge photo was disqualified. I think it must have been a mistake.

Sorry Heather can't help you with the description for your challenge. The only thing I can think is the there is a lot of people that have English as a second language and don't understand. There is also people who try and contrive a description of their pic to fit the challenge and cross their fingers and hope it gets through.

I wouldn't feel bad about the DQ'ing I think the description is clear enough.

Nedeljko, you photo is still in Challenge Bridges and it has not been disqualified, it just didn't win any awards. Default view is "Winners". You can see if you go in Challenge page and "Preview Contest Entries" tab. You photo got Challenge score of 554.

Hope this helps.

Maybe instead of using overcoming you could use overtaking or man made items being consumed by nature .like severe overgrowth just a thought Heather :)

Heather, I'm sorry I misunderstood your question. Apart from what Martin suggested, I think you have explained enough. As Mark said some users have problem understanding rules since they don't speak English well, and some don't read rules at all.
