Images Reported and Moved to WRONG Category

My photo "Purple Weeds" (along with another photo of the same type of plant) was reported as being in the wrong category - I had it in "Flowers in the Wild" where it obviously belonged- and moved to "Flower Gardens" where it obviously does NOT belong. As a result, I lost all the points I had earned on it (I had around 500, now I only have 197) and now it's very much in the wrong category, meaning someone will come along and report it again. The original report was obviously malicious because there is no mistaking this is a WEED. Do they not check these things before arbitrarily moving images? I know the email that they send you says "We checked and we agree" - but honestly, look at this scraggly weed that I found out in the woods and tell me it even remotely looks like it came from a flower garden!

This is wrong and unfair. It'll just get reported again. If I try to move it back to the category it belongs in, I'll get in trouble for going against the site's decision (which was wrong). Can someone help me get this attended to?

Also - at the same time as this recategorization, I had another image of the same plant recategorized too. But get this - I had it in the "Flowers in the Wild" category just like the image mentioned above, and it was reported by someone as well (probably the same person), and as a result it was recategorized - INTO THE SAME CATEGORY I HAD IT IN THE BEGIN WITH. They didn't even move it to a new category, they just resubmitted it to the same one! Causing me to lose all my points on it and start over at zero, of course. How is that right in any way? Someone reports my image, so it's automatically recategorized, right back into the same category it started in. Did the person doing the recategorizing not even look?

I cry foul. Pixoto declares a "hands off" policy with the challenges, yet any fool can report an image that beats one of theirs in an imageduel and Pixoto runs to recategorize it without even looking at it (this is how it appears in this case, for sure). I don't see any way to appeal such a mistaken decision because they don't reply to emails. How do we keep this nonsense from happening unfairly? I lost a lot of points on both images (one would have won me an award for yesterday) and of course I can't get any of that back.

Hello Rhonda, I'm sorry, but both of your images that are mentioned here were originally submitted to Nature up close category, and since Flowers do not belong in Nature up close category they were recategorized from Nature Up Close category to Flower category. The choosing of subcategory of flower garden is incorrect though, but since photos duel each other regardless of subcategories it doesn't impact score. I have changed subcategory to Flowers in the wild (you can also change category on your images without any penalty if you click on "Edit" button on image detail page).

I hope this helps.

Thank you Jasenka. I was mistaken about the original category I had these in, so my apologies for that - I appreciate you moving the first one to the correct category. What about weeds that bloom but are technically not flowers? Where do they go now?

Hello Rhonda, flower is flower, it doesn't matter if it is flower of weed, medicinal plant or ornamental plant, or any other plant, if it is photo of flower it belong in Flower category.

I hope this helps.
