http://www.pixoto.com/images-photogra... This is one of the images with no info on camera etc, More than likely copyright infringement. I thought this was added to help with this problem and that the info must show to compete.

Are you tied in with pixdaus? It has several same pics by different artist, and the real artist has gone to the company to have it removed but the company has refused to remove it.

Lol, yet another creative one. The same image with rocks, then different rocks, then with sand, then with different colors.

I haven't seen any place on this site that required exif to be intact. If often gets lost with processing and resizing anyway.

Most photograph contests offer cyber awards, a nice pat on the head for a good job. Pixoto is offering and rewarding real money, so I guess it is no wonder that the cheats are out in force.

Also if you use 'Save for Web' you lose your exif data - so is a little harsh to say its "More than likely copyright infringement"

Yes. I don't think exif information is a good indicator of the ownership of a photograph. However, reporting them, whether as a duplicate or a copyright infringement should be getting them removed, right???

A picture with or without exif data does not prove ownership Shirley :) nor does it prove copyright infringement.

Right, isn't that what I said. lol, I guess not. Presence or absence of exif doesn't prove anything about a photograph whether ownership or copyright infringement. It means it wasn't saved with the photograph. I went and looked at the ones I have posted and most of them don't have any exif info, just the date submitted.

It would be nice to see something being done when they are reported though, especially the duplicates which are pretty easy to see. :(

yes I know what you mean lass lollol but I have seen 3 threads now siting exif data as a possibility of copyright infingement and as you and I know, this is a big assumtion.

If they have been reported then yes they should be looked into but I would not like the job of deciding who copied who etc........:)

Exif image is not required. If you have evidence that this member has stolen images we will certainly investigate.
