I have been blocked from voting on image duels. I do not know why. I am always a very careful unbiased voter.

Hello Beth, your account was blocked from voting because you have been selecting images with lower quality. Please be more careful in the future and always select images in duels which are better.

Hi Beth,

If you like, Jasenka can provide you examples of where you voted incorrectly. The system carefully analyses user voting behavior and accidentally choosing the wrong image can affect your ability to vote. We plan on releasing a back button within the next month to remedy this issue.

I don;t know what you mean by voting incorrectly.   Sometimes it feels like I have to click twice on an image before the duel advances to the next 2 pictures.  This is not something that I am doing to purposely vote incorrectly.  Maybe you guys should fix the site.

Once I am blocked - 2 times in a row now (I just submitted another issue about this)  I  am then not able to see any of my images- favorites  or awards.    I have been voting in Pixoto for 5 years - never had this issue.  It is a little insulting to be told that I am "Voting Incorrectly"    I vote on the image that I like better - so I am clearly puzzled as to what Pixoto means by "Lower Quality"   Isn't it up to the viewer to decide.  This comment makes me really want to stop participating in Pixoto.

I 100% agree about the way you should be able to vote. It's the community that votes and it's whichever picture that person at the time likes better than the competing photo. So if your system determines which photo is better what do you need community voters for if your system determines which photos better?. There is no such thing as incorrectly voting for the photo you prefer. Get your system straightened out.

The system *does not* determine the which photo is better. It determines whether someone is often voting contrary to the majority.  We are also not talking about 1 time occurrences.  It will only enforce a ban if it has detected this behavior multiple times over a short period of time. This vote does not count and has no impact on the images being voted on.

This vote is also *not* recorded and does *not* apply to the image score and does *not* show un in the images duel history.

Dave, we are discussing false pairs duels. The system we implemented over 6 years ago that will, using false pair match, determine if the user is paying attention while voting. Votes for false pairs do not count towards imagescore.

This has nothing to do with winners.  The system periodically displays a fake pairing to see how you will vote.  The results are not used for anything other than to determine whether you are voting contrary to the majority.
