I can not vote. (as many users before me)

I found the problem many times in the common problems section but always without a solution working for me. It is always a response like "It is forwarded to tech support"

When I select vote from the menubar I get a new window with a message: "In order to keep the voting fair and unbiased, we need to verify your identity first. Here are your options:" I choose Facebook and I am forwarded to my settings page. I am connected to Facebook. It is still not working.

I have tried to close and restart the browser, to reset the browser cache, to switch to a different browser and to switch to a different pc but that does not help. My mailadresses are the same and I am loged in into Facebook. What else should I try? (My URL is http://www.pixoto.com/lomingen)

Hello Efdon, we disconnected your Facebook account from your Pixoto account. Please try to connect it again.

Please let me know if this doesn't help.

Now I seem to be unable to connect. When I press the connect button on the settings page a new window openes (http://www.pixoto.com/connect/faceboo...) with a new connect button. When I press this one a few urls are visible in the status line but nothing more happenes.

So I tried to logout and login again. But that does not work. I registered today with my Facebook account and with the disconnect you did it might not work anymore. (perhaps my mail helps?)

I was able to signin with my mail and a requested password reset. At least I am signed in again.

I found a solution (and maybe the problem). When singning in with Facebook for the first time I was able to choose three different information. 1- public profile (mandatory); 2 - eMail; 3 - pictures. Because only the first one is mandatory I unselected the other two.

A little later pixoto asked for my eMail (I can understand that) so I gave them an eMail. It was the same as the mail from Facebook. I just did not want Facebook to provide the information. I want to provide the information myself.

After that you can read my story in the first post.

Now I went to the Facebook security settings for apps and removed Pixoto from my list. Just deleted. (Pixoto is not allowed to use my Facebook anymore.) Then I went to the settings page in Pixoto and reconnected. That did not work and did not solve the problem with the voting. And I was not able to choose from the three topics. Only the mandatory public profile was an requested by Pixoto.

So I deletet Pixoto from my Facebook apps again. Then I went to Pixoto and signed out. For my next signin I choose Facebook as an sign in option and because Facebook does not know about this app it asked for the tree topics again. This time I unselected only 3 - pictures.

And now it is working.

(Possible cause: The eMail was mandatory too. Facebook did not provide an eMail and this "emptyMail" did not match the eMail in Pixoto settings page.
Please, Pixoto Team:
- Mark the eMail as mandatory in the first place.
- Provide an option to change the settings and security between Pixoto and Facebook afterwards.
- Post a better error description when the connection to Facebook does not work because of a missing eMail.
- Change the Facebook connection option on the settings page that it allows selecting from the three topics.)
