Wonder if it would be a good idea to have a separate category for actual "seniors" as in older folks versus grouping them together with High School Seniors?

It seemed to us that those should go in Men and Women as opposed to having it's own sub-category. Thoughts?

That is what I was thinking...I just noticed some "seniors" (older folks) showing up in the HS Senior category. I didnt stop and think about the Man and Women categories.

I think it would help if the wording of the category said, "Schools and High School Seniors"

Yes, I am sure that many players whose native language is not English, might be confused and categorize photos of older people into that category :-)

LOL - despite having English as my first language, to me "senior" implies an elderly person and most certainly not someone in school. Have recategorized my two photos of "senior" (i.e. elderly) folks after realising that they were in the TOTALLY wrong subcategory!

Always learning...

I find the category confusing and think you should add or change it to something like Senior students something so that people will know it is meant for school age children. But on the flip side I would love to see you add subcategory into People and have a Senior sub category there so that photos of old weathered wrinkled women and men do not duel against 18 year old skin perfect beauties. Photographing seniors is almost a art in itself and if you had a sub category especially for older people, the photos submitted could be AWESOME...and to duel against like photos instead of beautiful young girls in most of the submitted photos. The character, lines and wisdom seen in the faces of senior people is so incredible, would love to see more photos along those lines and see them duel against like photos.

Beautifully put! My two dear subjects kept losing hopelessly against beautiful (and mostly scantily clad) young women...

Gaiafrique...I personally think anyone can photograph a beautiful person.. for it is what it is... a beautiful person, child etc.. but to be able to capture the wisdom and knowledge in the face of a senior who has been there.. and done that many times over, the things they have seen in their life time, the sadness, joy, or wisdom seen in their eyes.. that to me is a good photographer... it is a photo to take pause at... there are a few on here at pixoto now that when I see them I feel like I am looking into their soul.... good photo and excellent photographer to be able to portray that.. which is why I feel they need their own sub category... which would also encourage more of the like photos to be taken.
