I haven't been on here long. A week maybe. Is there any real money in this for the photographer? I enjoy it here so far. It's more out of curiosity.

Nicole - to date our payouts to photographers are in the 10s of thousands of dollars however our sales are rising rapidly and we are focusing on stock and canvas extensively now that our catalog as reach significant scale.

Yes but to be fair at 25 cents a time and paying out when it hits $75 it isn't really a money spinner for the photographer even if you paid out at $10 we would have to sell 40 images first ?

How many togs have achieved that ?

I have sold some pics (stock) and at this rate It will be some time before I get a $75 check. I didn't come to this site to make money that's just a bonus.

I have a friend that has a stall in a market. I get prints and canvases made up and give them to her to sell. That is where the money is. Stock sales have to number in the 100's to make any real money.

I dont use the site to make money but i dont expect to either !

the site is marketed with the expectation that a photographer can make money from there images when the reality is they may but only a little and it wont be paid out very quickly ? In most cases....

Same as Ralph, I don't use the site to make money, no expectations either...but I get these

"Hi Tupu

I've visited your Pixoto site and think your images are world class - why not get worldwide sales for your content? RooM and Getty have now partnered to create the biggest outlet for commercial images - over US $1billion in sales and 1 million clients to get seen by, in over 100 countries.

During February, we are inviting a few select new photographers onto RooM - it's free, so why not sign up - use KATIE as the invite code at sign up to get instant acceptance? Or email me and I can give you more information.

Kind regards,

A RooM with a view of the future

The sender of this message was referred to your Site via if a referrer link is present."

Does anybody else got these kind of post? I really know that my photos are not "world class":o) Happy clicking my friends!
