Greedy, cheating, photo-dumping challenge creators

It is really pathetic when someone creates a challenge, then 'dumps' their own photos in hopes of getting multiple awards. Worse yet not even moderating the challenge they create by not adhering to the rules they establish. I am currently in a challenge of 35 photos. 6 belong to the moderator. One of which is a composite photo, and 3 other challengers' photos do not fit the challenge description.

If there is no other way for Pixoto to take care of individuals who 'use' or 'cheat' the system, then I will simply DQ every individual who behaves in this manner from any challenge I create. If you have over a million points, don't be greedy and so egocentric that other artists don't stand an honest chance!!

I agree, There should be a limit of pictures that we can post per challenge 1-3! WE the Photographer are then challenged to 1st of all pick out what we think is the best picture to post for that challenge.

This has been mentioned before quite recently in that not all of the challenges are judged fairly.
The best way, as has been suggested, is not to allow the moderator to enter their own challenge, and to let the winner be picked purely by votes.

Thank you all for suggestion.

We have implemented feature that moderators must declare whether they will assign the judges award and that information is posted on the challenge page. If moderators decide to issue judges award then they will not be allowed to submit to the challenge.

What about the amount of photo's being dumped by others? some are just minor deviations of each other. Example - one person has 20 another 9, out of 62, that's two people with almost 50% of the photo's!

It seems to be the worst with animals - dogs, cats and birds

another example - http://www.pixoto.com/challenges/the-...

And another

This is a Challenge and the 1st challenge should be is selecting what we think is the best 1-3 pictures to use. Then let the voting begin!

I've suggested a configurable limit, with no limit being the default. I issue both entry restrictive and unrestrictive challenges. If I restrict it, it can be a huge PITA trying to moderate for that.

No doubt. It would be nice if people can follow rules better, But I think they will figure it out. Also, Shouldn't there be a way in software that only allows one to enter 1 - 3 pictures depending on the challenge settings or rules?

Hello Lisa, we do not limit challenge entries, but moderators can limit them themselves (in challenge description or in Additional rules sections).
