Flowers still competing in Nature up Close when they have their own category

Why are my new Nature up Close images competing against flowers when flowers have their own category? It states Flowers 2011-2013 (I realize it used to be in this category but now that it is a separate category to its own they should not compete in it any more).

Tyrell, flowers are not supposed to be in Nature Up Close. I just happened to visit that category on the leaderboard a little while ago and noted the same thing. There were several flowers, insects, and even a lizard. I reported most of them, It wouldn't hurt if you report them, too. I also made a suggestion to Pixoto about adding category descriptions on the leaderboard pages. I think people may look at that page. They clearly don't look at the category descriptions listed on the About page.

Tyrell, flowers used to be just a subcategory in Nature Up Close. Since Flowers became their own category, Pixoto has been promising to move that entire old subcategory out of NUC but it has yet to be done. I don't know why that's such a difficulty, but it hasn't happened. So, they still appear in the duels. It sucks.

I got so frustrated with NUC earlier this year that I just stopped submitting to it.

(Now, if the flowers are new photos, and not from last year and earlier, I hope you're reporting them. SO MANY people still post flower photos to that category!)

Hello Tyrell, as Lenore explained old flower subcategory belonged in Nature up close. We do plan to mode it to flowers category, but we don't have estimated time when will it be.
