he had a lot of images recategorized because they were non-mobile based on the exif of his mobile-submitted photos. Now he deletes the exif of his photos so that he can submit to mobile. Didn't I see this problem before? As other togs say, instagram/mobile category is a cheater's paradise

5 or more of your images were recategorized already because their exif info showed they aren't from a mobile camera.
isn't this familiar? http://www.pixoto.com/images-photogra... u used DSC-HX100V and u submitted it through mobile category.

do u want pixoto to provide history of your reported images?

Mr.Pohling, you are right, there are some photo apps like snapseed which unfortunately deletes EXIF. In fact, you have submitted many DSLR photos in Mobile category which have been re-categorized. Then all of a sudden the newly submitted photos are ALL without EXIF but shot with a mobile phone? This is not only strange, it's simply difficult to believe. But, anyway, no EXIF, no proof. In dubio pro reo.

He hasn't answered on this topic anymore. He is avoiding it.
His photo is currently the top image for the year and he is happy about that already even the image source is in question.
he didn't even bother to give opinion on his recategorized images - and the cheating he did on some of his first set of images.

I don't need any answer, it's just obvious.
I really would like to write a LOT of things here, believe me, but I won't.
Just one thing. It doesn't make any sense to keep the Mobile category as most of the real mobile photogs already left, will be leaving or they submit their photos to other categories. Instagram and all the cheaters ruined it. Unfortunately, honest people are the minority in this category (but there are still some good ones left!)
It is sad to see you and other top mobile photogs leave.
Pixoto is a game and you shouldn't take it too seriously. But even if it's JUST a game I can expect more fair play...

@AD, yes, his photos are great! But that's not the point here.

By the way, Mr.Pohling, you forgot to delete the EXIF of one of your recent 'mobile' photos.
SLT-A77V, Sony Alpha 77, what an outstanding mobile phone.

I got to say, after reading this review of the pure view 808, I can't decide if I want to trash all my DSLR equipment in favour of this, or indignantly demand that the mobile and instagram category be forever struck off!!

i ́m using a Nokia Pure view 808Cameraphone. The Camera has 41 mp and a very big Sensor (the first thing to realize is that this isn't a standard 1/3.2" mobile phone sensor, it's an unusual and remarkably large 1/1.2" type (five times larger). Its an sensorsize like an slt cam Sometimes i use a additional wide expander from amazon for mobile phones. i don ́t know if its fair to mess with other users with a mobile cam like this, but it ́s a mobile phone with a cam.

yeah right!?! then why one your photos submitted in mobile category showed that it was taken from a DSLR? (let's say this photo was processes through snapseed) you even submitted it twice - one with no exif then the why the other has a WITH COMPLETE EXIF from a DSLR camera. that's why u were caught again for the nth time - but it was deleted by you. come on!

But Olaf, here's the thing - what's your reaction after your DSLR photos submitted to mobile category were recategorized by pixoto(as far as Ive read in the other topics)?

you can't deny on this.

OK. the issue here is not not about what your camera phone capabilities are.
The ISSUE here is you were caught submitting non mobile pix to the mobile category. Your exif showed they were taken from your DSC-HX100V camera. Any comment on this issue. was it an honest mistake, or unwitting failure to delete the exif file first before submitting them?

good lord, I was blocked from further commenting. but anyway. though u posted new mobile pix using your iphone - they just show how HUGE the difference of your (old submitted) mobile pix to your current iphone4(?) shots. But still in question - where's your image with your nokia pureview shown on the exif?
