There should be a subject for fireworks. I can never figure out where to put them.

I'm in strong support for a special category for fireworks, possibly under the abstract category.

I see the in City & Parks I see them in News & Events and I see the under Light Painting as well. Submitted in droves, sometimes by the same person in several categories, creates an issue, a serious issue.

If the main theme of the photo is the fireworks itself, let them compete with each other -- just like waterdrops are doing now.

I agree with you because it isn't fair to have them against other things. They need their own category....Y-von

Dear Darcie, as you can imagine from this thread, there is a level of vagueness about fireworks. If you check the 'News & Events' category, will find several fireworks postings. If the focus of the picture are the fireworks themselves, I personally don't think they belong there, but that's where you'll find them mostly.

I personally would place them in Light Painting, but push through this thread to create a special subcategory for fireworks under the Abstract category on par with the special subcategories there like 'waterdrops' and 'patterns"

Thank you. I had no idea where to put them. I agree they should put Fireworks in the list like they do Waterdrops.
