Is Pixoto more for competition than Sales? How do consumers of images find Pixoto?

Thanks,

Jodie

Jason has said before to consider it more of a "place to get feedback" rather than a stock site..... Consumers are supposed to be able to search tags to find photos - however people tend to slack off with tagging imo......

Thank you for the reply.
It appears that I am of the wrong impression of Pixoto in that I thought there was a financial gain to photographers for submissions of photos that the consumers might buy. Am I correct in that impression?

Sorry - I was being a bit facetious there ;-) Yes there is an opportunity to sell - anyone can buy your images - just make sure you tag them properly so they can be found. Some people also make good money here with week/monthly prizes from having their images voted on as the top image in different categories. If your images are good you can receive cash awards, but it is not "primarily" a stock site if that helps :-)

Thank you Woodstock for helping Jodie.

Hello Jodie, you can sell your images on Pixoto as stock or sell prints of your images, and also you can get cash prizes if you win #1 weekly place in category where there were at least 1000 images submitted, and lastly by winning sponsored challenges.

I hope this helps.
