I noticed a few exceptionally wonderful images from a fellow photographer recently and so admired them that I decided to visit her profile page and follow her. As I scrolled down her page, I was surprised to see several images that were submitted three or four times. Sometimes she changed the crop a bit and sometimes she just changed the name of the image. I don't think it is fair, and is certainly against the rules, to submit an image multiple times in the same category. The ones that were recent, I reported through the report button system. The ones that were older, I reported through the email system. Trust me when I say that I am sure that there are several more than those I reported, but it's time consuming to go through and copy and paste all those links. Anyway, its been three days already since I sent the email and as far as I can tell not a single image has been removed. I don't think any of the ones that I reported using the report button have been removed either, though I'm not sure about those. Shouldn't those reports have been acted upon by now? If I am in error, and I don't think that I am, I'd like to know.

Hi,
As I said yesterday to Jasenka, unfortunately without answer, and without action :

This is a great example of how to make 4 photos from one, and all this on the same day.
I find that outrageous.
I think something should be done.

Gerard, I think I reported that one, too, a couple of days ago. It's not right that he won four top ten awards on the same day for the same image. I went ahead and used the report button to report those again. Maybe if we all start insisting on action something will happen.

That is not the photographer I was referencing, but this one is even worse in my opinion. Here are examples of one of the photos.

This is only one of many images that she submitted over and over again in animals. The thing that gets me is there are legitimate ways to enter an image multiple times. You can put it in animals, you can do some creative editing and put it in digital art, you can change it to black and white and put it in that category and you can add a caption or quote and put it in typography. It's just not fair to keep entering an amazing image into one category multiple times.

She has also done this with lots of flowers, too.

Hi all, please follow policy about reporting in community: https://getsatisfaction.com/pixoto/to...

All reports must be made using report button. If 5 days passes after reporting you can ask for clarification about your report in community.

Please note that very similar images are not acted upon if they are older then 6 months. Only duplicate images (means exact duplicates) are acted upon that are older then 6 months but submitted after June 2012.

Thanks for that clarification, Jasenka. I thought the wait was two days, not five.

Jasenka, I have one more question. If the original image is manipulated through cropping or edited slightly different, but both versions came from the same original would that be considered similar or a duplicate?

Duplicate is exactly the same image, not modified.
