As we now see lots of drops pictures, it could be nice to have a drop category so that other fine art pics also a chance have to get more points. I hope you don't misunderstand me. I love these drops, most of them are beautiful and they deserve their own category. Who is with me???

Michelle, you gave an excellent suggestion! Separate drops category would make competition cleaner and more fair to other contestant images in their real and respective categories!!

And, by the way, many drops images are compiled or heavily processed by photoshop, not having anything in common with the categories where these compete.

I support your idea!! :)

And what do you think about separate category for Real (classic) Photography - unprocessed or at least just minimally processed:

- no intervention in color, brightness, contrast
- minimal cropping (not more than 10% of raw image
- only slight framing correction - like horizon leveling
- not letting any filters...
- eventual conversion to B&W allowed.

The same suggestion I gave it, concerning MACRO photography. A lot of beautiful insects and plants seen in Macro, put others plants or animals in difficulty to receive points. Macro deserve a category, black and white/sepia either. The drops can be introduced in Macro category as well.

Diana, you're right also with macro. Black and white is also a necessary one. A few players asked for these categories. The team could make a little survey to see what additional categories we would like to have and introduce more categories in the contest.
