Has anyone noticed participation continues to drop? I think people are kind of fed up with certain photographers resubmitting images they had from a year or two ago and changing their name. Really agitates me and I wonder why I continue to submit. It used to be an addiction for me but anymore, the voting seems so crazy and these photographers that cheat, it just really doesn't seem worth it anymore. Anyone else feel like this?

Absolutely have noticed. I like to work in Transportation, and to see the same photographer put in 15-20 shots (good, bad, ugly) a night (complete with their months-old comments attached) as just being submitted for the first time is disheartening. I have now kept track manually, and there is absolutely no doubt rules are not being followed as far as submissions. It wasn't until recently that I could start to see a real difference in how many (or few) entries there were. I feel like you do, too. I was addicted for the fun, but have found other places to spend time and am now just accepting the fact that I may or may not post something on Pixoto every few nights. To be straight forward (to anyone who even cares...Pixoto....) I am becoming less and less enthused with this site. It has a lot of good possibilities, but it also seems like there is no real effort to make it a site for photographers by photographers. It is so easy to see the blatant cheating of a few, yet when pointed out, there is nothing in the way of correcting the behavior.

Same here, as far as the crazy voting goes my best shots get the worst scores anymore. I have pics that barely get to 400 points in the duels, yet they win Judge's awards in the contests. What's going on there ? Do the cheaters not cheat in the in the contests, They only cheat in the duels?

Some one just started another contest for flowers. Now along with the repetitive flower duels we will have even more lilies to endure while this new contest lasts;

When I still see questions from 'four years ago', that is when I start to know a site is weak. (The Back-button for example.) It has great potential. I have basically quit putting anything in Transportation category. Too many from the same person each night...like clockwork. Always between 15-20. Doesn't matter if the "votes" select the best. In his case, they are retreads and it junks up the category. Like Roar said, there is crap on there I wouldn't line a bird cage with....yet he seems to accept being "Best Photographer of the Year" proudly. I, for one, will give him less competition in the future.... Maybe he can win the coveted "Most Postings of the Same Picture in a Year Without Getting Caught 2016" award.

Its been said before but if they removed the cash prizes and got a lot stricter on duplicates and the other issues raised then people might come back.No cash prizes would greatly reduce the incentitive to cheat.....
