As I was given the below explanation for the refusal to remove an image of a Leopard cat from the Cats category, I would now like the official definition of what a domestic animal is and where the cut off is for "big cats". Is it any animal kept by humans, regardless of whether it is considered "wild life"? By definition, a domestic animal is one that lives with humans, therefore this opens up the entire category to zoo animals. Is there a weight limit on the "big cats"? Is it 20 pounds or more? Is it measured by height? If someone keeps a tiger as a pet, currently popular with any number of idiots worldwide, is it safe to enter as a "domesic cat"? If not, why not? I just watched a great video of a tiger trying to steal pizza from its owner, before napping on the couch... Clearly that tiger is domesticated...

Ergo, any cat that is not a lion or tiger or "big cat", (except if its domesticated, I guess,) and/or is owned and cared for by humans (please see Lynx, Bob Cat, African golden cats, Andean Mountain Cats, Caracal, Fishing cats or any cat found here: http://bigcatswildcats.com/small-wild... )

can now be safely entered into the Cat category because they are small like a domestic cat and/or may be kept as a "pet".
Don't worry about existing definitions... They don't matter now. As long as its smaller than a lion, and looks like it could be a domestic cat, please feel free to put it into the Cats category.

Animals – Photos of any type of animals except dogs and cats. This includes true Wildlife as well as Zoo animals and captive animals. Subcategories: Amphibians; Fish; Sea Creatures; Reptiles; Horses; Spiders & Insects; Birds; Lions, Tigers & Big Cats; Other; Other Mammals

Animals – Cats – Photos of domestic cats (no Lions, Tigers etc.). Subcategories: Portraits; Playing; Kittens

Leopard cats can be kept as pets. In Animal category subcategory is Lions, Tigers and big cats, while leopard cat is classified as small cat and since it can be kept as pet and looks like domestic cat it can be in Cat category.

Still awaiting an answer here, as the same photographer has submitted yet another WILD ANIMAL into the Cats category. Are we now permitting this? Pixoto has been given overwhelming evidence that this is NOT a domestic cat, as required by the regulations that this site has set forth for submission into the Cats category:

Animals – Cats – Photos of **domestic** cats (no Lions, Tigers etc.). Subcategories: Portraits; Playing; Kittens

I see one of these images (the last link posted) was removed, but not the other two... Why? They are all of the same animal.

I posted this NINE days ago... I STILL have not gotten an answer... How about it??? If you're going to change the rules mid-stream, don't you think the membership should be informed as to what they are? Or are you just making them up as you go along?
Honestly - had you just deleted the improper images to begin with, this wouldn't even be an issue... Now, apparently, Pixoto is unwilling to admit they made a mistake. And since Pixoto has now re-defined what is appropriate for the category, you need to let us know what the new rules are.
