The look no more fake than many of the lilys on Pixoto along with their fake water drops.

Many of the Lilys look so unreal they look like cartoon drawings.

And just like Jasenka said the other day, digital art (photo manipulation) is actually allowed in all categories "as long as it doesn't look unreal or surreal". Now who decides what looks unreal is the big question. Obviously, if it makes money, it looks real enough for Pixoto.

This is a never-ending battle on this site I'm afraid. I share original poster TL's frustration. Over editing and composite photos seem to be the norm here now. I have reported several photographer's pages and individual photos numerous times. Sometimes there has been action taken-most the time not by Pixoto. There has got to be other sites like this that judge photos for what they are rather than what they are made to be. There used to be a "Pure Photo" category but frankly I've been so fed up with the submissions here I have not uploaded to try to compete with the "created photo catch" -vs- the pure photo to see if that is an option. Yes, some of my photos on my site have been digitally altered but I have not put in sky, airplanes, misty water, flocks of birds or water droplets. A little clean here, a little dodge and burn there and heaven forbid--a little color saturation!

Hello TL, thank you for reporting. As much as I can see they are images taken with hard side or front flash (waterdrops tend to "pop" using linear light from one direction) and they are normally allowed in Flower category. There are few images that belong in Digital art, and they are in Digital art category.

I hope this helps.
