Personally....i believe that challenges have completly ruined this site.

For 2 main reasons......firstly. Alot of the duals are now for images take longer to achieve higher points from dualing.

Secondly......most contests are either 15 or 25 credits to can enter multiple images. So now the need for credits is greater......right click...right click etc.

Less time is taken to actually view both images thoroughly before voting in image duals.....Ive seen a massive change since the introduction of contests/challenges.

Why change something that ran so well?

Thank you for bringing this out cuz this make sense so much. every time i'm voting, half of the images that are popping out are from the challenges which is for me is not so important as a part of this site( no incentives ).

That's why I don't submit photos in Community Challenges. It should be moderated even if created by members. Most of challenges are non-sense, ridiculous, absurd and just repetition of categories. "Best Photo of 2013"? "Natural Beautys" (even spelling is wrong), "Vehicle Tracking System" (WTF!), "Acoustic Guitar with Roses" (OMG!)

I confess I'm not keen on the community challenges, they are often forgotten about, or badly moderated. And I do agree that voting on them seems a bit pointless.....

I don't know much about the finer details of web site coding, but perhaps Pixoto could institute a system where members who don't participate in challenges don't vote on challenge duels. That way, those that aren't interested in challenges don't have to have anything to do with them. OR have two separate duelling areas ... one for challenges and one for the "normal" duels. Then, the challenge duels could be ignored by anyone who wants to ignore them and challenges could still run until they get their allotted amount of duels.

I don't mind the challenges at all but I definitely agree that voting on them does take away from the regular duels. I have seen times when I've been voting when the majority of the duels were challenge duels.

Great idea LenoreL.

Well thought out.

I think they should just introduce a system where as...when your viewing the voting get say 10 votes to place.

Ive been watching vooting booths closely. Seems an image can be in first...then all of a sudden way down the contest placings within minutes. Not sure how sturdy the system is.

But....hey Pixoto are constantly trying to improve their site...& i fully respect that...People would complain if it seemed they werent bothered....but one step at a time.

All new these new introductions may just ruin a perfectly good site.
