Awarded #1 of the day, or not???

Yesterday I check on some images I submitted and found that one of them had been awarded #1 for 7/12/18 in the Landscape category and was 600+ imagescore.

Fast forward to today and the image is barely above 400 imagescore and the number of duels it's won/lost appears to have gone down. The image doesn't show up in last week's landscape category at all, and the #1 Day Ranking isn't on the photo view page.

Hello John, if you are asking about this image - https://www.pixoto.com/images-photography/transportation/roads/dip-5170148664934400 it was recategorized because per category description for Landscape category - http://blog.pixoto.com/category-descriptions/
"City, building, person, animal, the natural or man-made object can be object in landscape photography that adds interest to the scene, but it must cover less than 20% of photo and must not dominate the landscape."
Since road on your image dominates the landscape image was recategorized to correct category.

That seems like an objective decision, but I'm also a bit concerned about the complete lack of communication regarding the reclassification.

Before submitting, I searched through some of the other postings and back in February someone had a similar situation occur and it was stated that you were getting ready to implement a process for the photographer to A) get notified somehow, and B) respond to the potential reclassification before it happened. I'd assumed that 5 months after that ticket, any reclassification would have been preceded by some sort of communication, so I didn't think to look at the photo's category.

Also, it still shows in my Pixoto feed as getting #1 for the day in the original category, and now shows as getting #6 in the new category 2 days later. (But only has the #6 badge on the photo page.)

John, I'm sorry but we didn't implement the new system yet.
You should have received e-mail notification about rectagorization of your image  - I have checked with report team and e-mail was sent to you on June 16th to your e-mail connected to your Pixoto account about recategorization.

However, you get the notice AFTER it's been recategorized without any opportunity to defend WHY you put it in the category you did, in the first place.  I've had photos of mine that are obvious forest photos that have been recategorized to city park when there isn't a city within 30 miles of where the photo was taken.

Thank you, I had an old email address attached to the account so I didn't see the email until now.
