Mary, are you referring maybe to images you uploaded before you signed up for Pro? If so, those ones can still be paused......I think. I'm not Pro so I don't know for sure.

Jasenka is Pixoto's customer service rep -- I'm sure she'll be able to explain :-)

Hello Mary, images you have uploaded before you became pro will not have 100 guaranteed duels, as well as images that are submitted in Uncategorized category.

I hope this helps.

I have a pro account. I have images that were paused after the initial 100 duels. At least the paused symbol under the photo indicates that. But, at least one of those photos just went up against another of mine. So, I'm not sure if they are really paused. Not exactly a problem... just an observation.

As a PRO member, you're guaranteed 100 duels. It may not happen in a day. But I heard from Jasenka, it could take 3 days tops.

As per my experience, it's seldom beneficial for your image to get more than 100 duels since the scoring of the win-loss is stacked against it when it gets to this level.

Saturday Morning: Two photos I uploaded Tuesday evening, one has 85, the other 94 duels.
But another three uploaded at the same time have 101, 103, and 117 duels.
So my point is that the initial 100 duels do not automatically come in the first three days.
The two with less than 100 duels are stuck at scores of 413 and 414, so if they had not been entered in a 'contest', I would have deleted them by now.
(One is doing surprising well in the contest, in the top 10%, so I will wait for the contest to finish before making a decision whether to delete the low-scoring photos.)

You could resubmit them. That wouldn't affect the contest at all.

(I mean click the Resubmit button ... NOT deleting them and then posting them again. That WOULD remove the photos from the challenge..... :-) )

It also depends on the category and the number of photos in each, For example a landscape photo may be in a pool with several hundred others where an artistic item may only have a few hundred. That has been my observation anyway.

Thanks so much. So is it really worth it to be a Pro member?

In my opinion, it's worth the cost just to see the photos that I dueled against. It's a great learning tool for me. The 100 duels are nice too, but you can always get those if you vote enough.
