A separate Category for Macro

I Feel it is high time a separate category is made for Macros especially bugs and insects. I place most of my Macros in Abstract with sub category Macro, and what do you know almost all are reported and category is changed to Animals and sub Category insects and Spiders.......

for Macro lovers like me it is a huge let down.........

I wish something could be done here as I see a lot of Macro shots placed in this section.........

Really astonishing that you have a category Of Dogs running, kicking, smiling What not ..........instead of a real genuine Genre like Macros

REAL SAD THAT THREE OF MY IMAGES POSTED IN ABSTRACT MACRO CHANGED TO INSECTS AND SPIDERS CATEGORY..........

THANK YOU ... I HAVE DELETED ALL THREE ..........

Right with you on this! Also believe that Macro requires a full "stand-alone" category.

From the other thread... This was my suggestion - obviously wide open to criticism:

suggest a full macro category with a variety of sub-categories including e.g.:
- insects
- spiders
- birds / eggs / nests / eyes / feathers
- mammals / skin / hair / eyes
- reptiles / skin / scales / eyes
- other animals
- flower detail
- seeds and seed detail
- leaves and leaf detail
- other plants / bark / moss / etc.
- technology
- minerals / sand / stone /
- water and things to do with water
- other - i.e. if you used a macro lens but don't believe it fits in any of the other categories...

Great............

Yes indeed would be great for a "Stand Alone" Macro Category.......

And I must say you have done Marvelously well on the Sub Categories, gaia........

;)
hope my "straw puppy" (less substantial than a "straw dog") gets more discussion going and that Pixoto gets interested in implementing something along these lines...
