Wrong sorting in Watchlist iPhone App.

The sorting options for the watchlist are:

Latest | Order | A - Z | Ratings

The first 3 are ok, but the Ratings option is all wrong. What you get is the descending order of your OWN personal ratings. But since this is your Watchlist, you haven't watched most or none of the movies on that list, so they have no rating and so the list is not ordered at all. The sorting should be according to the IMDB ratings, so you can see what has the highest rating on your list and better decide what to watch next. For your own ratings, there is a separate list already.

I am being told that this is not the case, and that in theory the IMDB rating is used. But at least in my phone, the wrong rating is used, so I have to asume that other users have that problem too.

Here two screenshots, the first is of the top of the list, which happens to have unrated, unreleased movies in them, that according to the selector column on the right should be at the bottom. On the second image, there are a few more or less popular movies, with different ratings in them, but there is no sorting applied. Instead, you can see at the top, that they are filed as "not rated".

It could be a bug, but I can't reproduce this problem -- here is a screen grab of a watchlist showing titles sorted by 'rating':

The titles are sorted by IMDb's user rating (none of the films have been voted by the account logged into the app).

Can you tell me which version of the app you are using (tap on About on the main screen and look for the Version entry)?

Oh sure, sorry I forgot.
My version is 3.0.1. That should be the most recent version. I had this problem for a long time, but I think I remember it went briefly away after the last update, only to return after a few days.

Edit: and my iPhone runs on iOS 6.0.1

Another edit: I am seeing that the 3.0 version was posted on 20/12/2012 and only 2 weeks later version 3.0.1. That's about the timeframe were it displayed correctly. It says in the version history on iTunes on 3.0.1:
- A-Z sort on Watchlist is back (iPad)
Maybe that problem is related?

I'll let our developers know -- this might be a bug, but if that's the case it probably affects only some users since we haven't had other reports so far (if anyone else is seeing this, please let us know).

Thanks for the additional details.

Looks like I am really the only one person in the world with this problem (or maybe I am the only person that actually wants to use that functionality). I understand you won't fix this just for me. :(
Well, I guess I'll just make a new account and port over all my ratings and the over 600 items on my watchlist. :( :( :(
