Why the site's insistence on the prominence of budget/box office figures ? I'm an actor, not a marketing department executive.

The budget/box office figures can determine a quasi third rating. IMDb's rating, the Metascore, and Box office data can tell you a lot about what you may want to see.
Actors are not the only people that use these pages.
Yikes!

You know without the vacuous, you don't have a job. Be nice.

Without them, I'd have more of the "jobs" I devoted my life to. I do wish that would go around.

Hardly. Those were Chayevsky's words. Something any qualified cinephile would know. But then, your devotions are inclined toward box office figures.
